I am looking for jumps in textures, shaders, physics engines, AI, game size, game experience. The physical 3d image itself is diminishing returns as polygons are added. I expect 2nd, 3rd, 4th gen games to get a lot better.

There will not be a ps4 verison of gta5. Maybe you can play it when genkai comes out, but that'll be months after gta5 is released. If I were you, I'd just cop the ps3 verison of watch dogs. Unless the ps4 verison is leaps and bounds over the ps3 verison, I don't really see the point in getting a console for a game that's multiplatform. I'd reccomend that you save your money, play the last gen games, and when you're finally ready to enter the next gen, enter it.That's just my opinion. You don't have to agree with it.
I was thinking the same thing after both of the console reveals, but after their e3s, I'm excited for what the next gen consoles will bring to the table.

ps+ is required for multiplayer, so gaikai is not included. Gaikai will be most likely be a seperate service that you also pay a monthly fee for access to a library of games. Some people have termed it, the netflix of gaming. If that's true, I'd assume that it would be reasonably priced.
Yes, $50 a year for ps+. You get discounts and free games though.
The internet is required every 24 hours. If the console doesn't connect to the internet within 24 hours, supposedly the console stops working.
XBL is required to play multiplayer, just like on the 360. This time you get two free games a month.
ps+ is required for online multiplayer, because supposedly sony needs the money to make their ps network better.

Ok, I preordered before there was a standard edition.My understanding was the email was sent to everyone who had ordered before there was a "standard edition " as well.

If Galkai lets me stream ANY game from the PS1, PS2 or PS3 library. I will gladly drop upwards of $50 a year for it.

nevermind. The email you recieved is diff. From the one that ppl who ordered the standard edition. The email sent to standard edition buyers said something like "we can't guarantee release day shipping due to so many preorders." so i think that a diff. Types of emails were sent to both standard editon buyers ane launch edition buyers.

some ppl think that the fee will be $100 a year, but that's just a rumor. Also they're building a game library. Meaning that only select games will be able to be played via gaikai rather the the entire game libraries of the ps1-3. I could be wrong though. This info is what I've read fromgaming articles.

yea i got that amazon email as well...i got a "launch" editon but the shipping makes me think we are not getting it on launch...there was no release day shipping option, i got the option for free 2 day shipping if i signed up for prime, i chose the 5-8 day free one
