I wonder when someone will come up with a way to use an xb1 controller with a ps4.

xb1 controller>>>ps4 controller

Anyone else take advantage of this from Newegg.com? It's only a $5 gift card, but it's better than nothing..

I'm not too bothered about the price as long as the tech is good. I'm guessing £150/$199 minimum

PlayStation's software boss and the creator of the Move together in new GDC talk

Quote:

Game Developers Conference has just confirmed a vendor session from Sony Computer Entertainment America that you’ll want to keep an eye on.

The session, titled “Driving the Future of Innovation at Sony Computer Entertainment,” is hosted by SCEA R&D’s director Richard Marks and senior software engineer Anton Mikhailov. They’ll be accompanied by Shuhei Yoshida, president of SCE Worldwide Studios.

Marks’ presence is noteworthy — he is best known for his work on innovative PlayStation devices including the PlayStation EyeToy and Move gesture-based systems. And the fact that Yoshida himself will be on-hand suggests something notable might be announced.

The session description simply reads, “Join Sony Computer Entertainment for a presentation on innovation at PlayStation and the future of gaming.”

There have been rumors of an upcoming PlayStation-centric virtual reality announcement from Sony, though the company is keeping its GDC plans under tight wraps. (And Gamasutra has not confirmed this is related to any such announcement.)

“Driving the Future of Innovation at Sony Computer Entertainment” is a Sony-sponsored session that will take place on Tuesday, March 18 from 5:45-6:45 p.m. in room 130 in the Moscone Center’s North Hall.

GDC 2014 will take place March 17-21, 2014 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, California. You can register for the event by visiting the info page on the official GDC 2014 website.

For more information on GDC 2014, visit the show's official website, or subscribe to regular updates via Facebook, Twitter, or RSS.

Haven't seen those guys together in a conference since the PS move at E3 2010 so they must have been hard at work on something since then and Yoshida being there solidifies it.

It's also good that they won't use E3 time to introduce the tech if it is VR.

Hopefully it's the reason why Driveclub was delayed and Yoshida's there so show that off

It takes some time to get used to it. It's actually pretty good.
But I've logged countless hours with my 360 controller so I'm used to it frown.gif

Or when someone comes up with a way to WIRELESSLY use the 360 controller for the xb1, ps3, and ps4.

I do like the One controller better but it is all good.
The only thing I liked better on the 360 pad was the ergonomics. Which was negated by that battery pack that you have to jam your fingers against while playing. It could have everything to do with how long I've been using the PlayStation controller though.

If you've been playing on 360 for the last 8 years, it only makes sense that you're conditioned to that controller.

BF4 anyone?

DS3 > any other controller. The DS4 feels so big and clunky...
^ idk i kinda prefer R2 and L2 buttons over their respective triggers. Just my opinion. I loved the Dualshock 2.
Ds3 was great except L2 and R2 was completely terrible. DS4 is the best controller I have used. I haven't touched a xbone controller though

This is the first I heard this. Lol it comes down to preference but the ps4 is probably the best for me. I love the triggers and the placement of everything except for the touch pad because I may press it by accident.

The 360 controller is by far the best I've ever used. The DS4 is the best this Gen though imo. Only have used the XBone controller a few times though.

This. It's only flaws were that the D-Pad was trash and the home button got in the way sometimes.

Sony should have stuck with the same D pads as the ps3's.

I have ps4 controllers whose dpad covering thingy has ripped.

Does sony replace controllers?

I opened my new controller and like, after a week, the thing started to rip mean.gif

I was a 360 user before getting a PS4 and yes, the controller was almost perfect but only for games that didn't require the dpad.

I was really into fighters and playing Street Fighter on that thing used to infuriate me.

That being said, I still prefer the DS4 over it (and especially over the DS3. I hated that controller laugh.gif)

The only problem with the current DS4 are the Analog sticks. Sony should have keep the domed sticks, but it looks like it's easy to swap the Analog sticks from the PS3 to PS4.
