Can you link me to who your heard or read talk about ryse?

Ryse is doo-doo, saw it at E3 and it was really a big disappointment, and Killer Instinct is FREE to PLAY ...IMO there two good launched title for Xbox One... Dead Raising looked good (not even a DR fan btw) and Forza ...

When your family member accesses any of your games, they’re placed into a special demo mode. This demo mode in most cases would be the full game with a 15-45 minute timer and in some cases an hour. This allowed the person to play the game, get familiar with it then make a purchase if they wanted to. When the time limit was up they would automatically be prompted to the Marketplace so that they may order it if liked the game. We were toying around with a limit on the number of times members could access the shared game (as to discourage gamers from simply beating the game by doing multiple playthroughs). but we had not settled on an appropriate way of handling it. 

So the whole family sharing thing was basically a different version of PS Plus game trials

If I wanted a QTE game I'd go buy Heavy Rain for $15.


And I was amped for it, but hearing game journalists talk about it, that was one of their disappointments once they played it on the show floor.

The most recent would be on IGN's X-Box podcast, Podcast Unlocked. Episode 99. A couple of the editors speak about what disappointed them about the show and all three agree Ryse was one game they had high hopes for but didnt deliver.

Will get one eventually but won't be an early adopter like the previous gens. $399 is definitely a good price for the launching unit (compared to previous gens). With the lack of interesting launch titles, current video game backlog, time, and the failure rate of those launch day consoles last gen, I think I will wait for the re-design, price drop to hopefully the $300 range, and bigger game library before I take the plunge. With the quality of titles on 3DS out there now and having not purchased a WiiU yet, it really makes it hard to justify a purchase. Plus I kinda want to buy Xbox Slim to play the exclusives last gen and the gen before that when early adopters sell there games for the upcoming gen. I know kinda late, but better late than never. Anyone know if I need Xbox live for video game updates? Would really if I do.

He is kinda right though i am buying a ps4 because its cheaper and i hate kinect. But as far as exclusives really you are saying:

Right? as far as launch window EXCLUSIVE games are concerned...isn't there a racing game for ps4 too...i forget correct me if im wrong...but i can see some one picking xbox1 for that if they are a fighting game fan or racing fan. Personally id take the ps4 titles easy but thats just me

Final Fnatasy isn't exclusive unless you're talking about FFXIV.

As for racing games there's Driveclub and Need for Speed Rivals

Yes you need XBox Live Gold to receive updates for games.

Just like I found out last night you need XBox Live to be able to view Netflix.

I might be wrong, I am finding conflicting reports.

Obviously you need to be connected to the internet and Live to download them, but one site says all you need is Silver (free), one says Gold (paid). Microsofts website won't load...

I do know for a fact you need Gold for Netflix. Borrowed my roommates 360 last night to watch some movies and couldnt do it without Gold, even though I have a paid Netflix sub.

I highly doubt there is ONE person out there that is paying for xbox live JUST to use their netflix. I

personally, i don't really like playing games online, but i would like to be able to watch netflix on my xbox. this is something that always bothered me with my 360, and i'm sure i'm not the only one.

Well I don't wanna sound like a prick, but thats where smart tv's and rokus, and apple/google tv devices come into play. I guess since I've been paying for xbox live since mid 2000's im used to the concept of paying for online pay. I understand there's different types of gamers out there cause me and you are completely opposite. I ONLY play online multiplayer games. (cept for recently the walking dead, which was fantastic)

i was serious like who can actually defend that thats a cash grab if i ever seen one
no wonder xbox peeps are still loyal if i paid that much just to watch my netflix and play multiplayer i would be with them until the ship sank as well. at least ps+ at first wasnt mandatory and u can still watch netflix without ps+
