The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Although I didn't play it, reading comments on here and online, Bungie has done it again :pimp:

Destiny was a hit for me the few hours i played. i never played Halo although i had a few friends with xboxs back in the day who praised it and ive seen the Halo/Destiny comparison quite a bit.. im not really into the futuristic FPS but i gotta admit that i enjoyed Destiny Alpha. dont know if ill purchase it because im good with only one FPS (CoD) at a time. it makes me consider getting the bundle for the white console though..

Went in to Future Shop to price out a 3DS to catch up on some RPG's.

Walked out with a new lawn mower. So much for the disposable income I had saved. :smh:

Is a future shop Canadian for Pawn Shop?

It's basically Best Buy (although we have those up here to, just not in my city). They dont sell alot of outdoor stuff, but I guess they carry this lawn mower because it's the only one in North America that has a lithium-ion rechargeable battery.

We should've had a choice of having Morgan Freeman as the voice actor of the Ghost on Destiny, or Ray Lewis that man can motivate Jesus.

DEAD.

I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THIS WAS AN OPTION IN THE GAME ONCE YOU REACHED A CERTAIN LEVEL. MORGAN IS THE HARDEST WORKING MAN IN HOLLYWOOD. HE IS IN EVERYTHING.

How did that even happen.

Final Fantasy Explorers looks good so that can be your next purchase when that comes out. I'm sure there'll be a bundle;e

My girlfriend and I bought our house in February, so I've been on a landscaping kick. The woman that owned it before kind of ruined everything (let the back yard grass completely die, didn't blow out the underground sprinklers in the fall so the lines froze and now leak, used salt on the walkway in the winter which basically killed all the grass around it, ect).

I've been borrowing my parents old lawn mower, but saw this one on sale for $299 down from $450... maybe a little impulsive.

But if there is a FF Explorer bundle, I may wait. I was also thinking of getting one second hand off Kijiji/Craigs List

I'm really hoping we hear about a beta for the new cod game because I mean that thing looks crazy from what I see in e3. I need to play it before thinking of even putting a preorder on it

3DS has some good JRPGs but the real gems are on the original DS

CAPCOM NOW OPEN TO BUYOUT
A third party could take over the company if it buys enough stocks
.

Capcom announced today that it will not be renewing its takeover defense, and is now open to a buyout, should a third party company buy a large enough share of Capcom stock.

Up until now, Capcom's takeover defense, which was originally instituted in 2008, has kept any company from acquiring Capcom directly through its shareholders. This method, known as a hostile takeover, is now possible following the shareholders' decision not to renew the countermeasure.

The company said it "will react to take steps to ensure disclosure of the position of the board of directors," and also make sure "there is sufficient time for shareholders to examine the proposed large-scale purchase and reach a decision."

In April, Capcom began construction on its second research and development center in Osaka, Japan after announcing a $78 million plan to expand and increase focus on internal game development. The plan also included hiring 100 new developers per year, in the hopes of having 2,500 on staff by 2022.

As for existing Capcom developers, Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono announced yesterday that he is leaving Capcom Vancouver, where he most recently worked on Dead Rising 3. Although it's unclear whether Ono is leaving Capcom completely, he did say he needed time to think about his next step.

I can't remember there being a COD beta or is it just me?

Damn, dude did so much for the SF4 community. Hope SF5 will just be as good without him.

Unless I am mistaken, the last COD console beta would have been for COD4...

Their market share is going to shrink quite a bit this fall I think.

I'll probably still buy CoD this year, it's just too easy to pick up and play. It would probably be the same for BF if they wouldn't have released that broken trash last year. I wasn't really feeling Destiny too much. I'm still going to play the beta when it drops but I with my backlog and two upcoming JRPGs, I doubt I would put a lot of time into Destiny.
