The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Very happy with the nhl demo, they fixed a lot of little things from last year, graphics are still the same and the menus seem to be cleaner. Going to pre-order tomorrow.

First light is pretty damn fun too; I'd definitely give it higher then a 7.5.  You can get around even quicker with fetch now so i find the city feels a bit smaller then before though.  The story takes about 4-5 hours and if you're into the trophies the platinum will probably take another 10 after that. Great game for $15 regardless.

I don't even think you can buy MVC2 anymore, if I'm not mistaken.

Glad to see yall enjoying that NHL 15 Demo

The demo runs smooth but the game is not worth $60. It is so incomplete for me at least since all i play is EASHL/OPT which they left out this year for Next-Gen.

Game should be $40

Yet they made sure they worked hard enough in HUT so that they can collect there money with in game purchases

Had 2 Years to put in EASHL and work on it. EA is a joke

I was so hype on NHL until they announced no EASHL, but next year they will hit us with " The all New EASHL is here" meanwhile we had it since 09

Was Playstation battle Royale All-Stars any good?
It's the poor man's SSB.

It's SSB with less risk.

Agreed. It's not a $60 game. EA can't use the small development team as an excuse when they took last year off to work on 15. Too many companies cut corners but will look to drain your pockets via garbage like Ultimate Team and microtransactions.

On another note, when will the PS4 be MP3 ready?

If you can, get a room full of friends to get full local 4 player games in PS All-Stars going. Don't play with a time limit, but a stock/life limit. Online isn't fun when you constantly 2V2 against teams of Kratos and Raiden, but it's a criminally underrated local multiplayer game.

My friend has been telling me to buy the wireless stereo headset (Gold)

I don't think I really need it

They worth copping?

Velocity 2X is a brand new game. Cool that we will get it for free.

Playstation All-Stars was fun.

Decent games this month. Nothing great, but interested in everything other than the Vita games.

Some numbers.

PS4 is outselling Xbox One by 97, 713.

Wii U gap is growing. Now it's outselling Xbox One by 16,001.

At least Xbox One is outselling the PS3 by 2,939

Handhelds still rule Japan. PS4 still hasn't broke ground over there, yet.

You think the ps4 will gain some serious momentum in japan tho? I don't see it really happening since handhelds are huge in the video game market for japan

Japanese gamers don't adopt Consoles as fast as the rest of the world. They wait until games that appeal to them come out; the Japanese games. It's always been like that with Sony Consoles. Once, FF XV, Dragon Quest, Kingdom Hearts 3, Yakuza, Tales games, etc. start dropping it will pick up big time. Besides, this is Sony's best selling Console despite the luke warm reception from Japan.

With the PS4 dominating like this, we're going to see a snowball effect similar to the PS2 era, with every developer churning out tons of titles.

It will. They just need a an exclusive JRPG and a crazy panty sniffing type game and they will buy it like nobodies business.

This.

PS3 had a very slow start but picked up and became the main console in Japan.
Even though their love for consoles has depreciated even more since then, I think he PS4's success outside Japan will persuade some devs to develop for it.

All we need is one Japanese game to pick up steam early on and then hopefully everyone follow suit. Could be bloodborne or the new ip rumored from SCEJ that's meant to be their answer to FF.

Let's see what TGS brings. Sony's conference is going to be streamed on YouTube.
Youshida said PS4 will be the main focus and it has to be.
