Also, just realized I made a new PSN when I got my PS4 last year and i've gotten trophies for 45+ games (ps3/4, vita).   i dont even remember playing that many games either.

Went to a toy-show here in HK today, which incidentally also had a Playstation display... 

Got to demo Until Dawn, Bloodborne & The Order... 

Until Dawn looked great, but really, who runs around in a creepy house with just a towel?

Bloodborne looked pretty sweet too, but didn't really interest me for some reason.

I enjoyed The Order the most.  Initially was indifferent towards the game, but now I'm very intrigued.

I remember my ps3 came with a composite cable(red, yellow,white) at one end and hdmi(connects into ps3) at the other. RadioShack has them. Output may not be HD but you'll live for 2 weeks.

Not at all for me.

My only regret is selling my ps3 too soon. There's a lot of old games I never got a chance to play, namely the uncharted series and batman aa.

I just wish we could get that one title that makes the console take off like FF7 for ps1, gta iii for ps2, uncharted for ps3.

My brother had a similar opinion. I just got a 2nd xb1 for $267 because m$ ....ed up. I'll sit on it, then trade it for a ps4.

I'd recommend repurchasing a ps3, especially for Uncharted. There's so many cheap good games. Resitance 3, any ratchet/clank game, littlebigplanet, and all the free ps3 ps+ games. Assuming that you have ps+.

That wouldn't be a bad move at all. Keeping the PS3 is the best option to make up for the lack of exclusives on ps4. Recently my PS3 malfunctioned and I paid to get it fixed simply because the game catalog on ps3 is crazy. Only reason I brought up lack of exclusives on the PS4 is simply because I purchased an x1 recently and they're pumping out exclusives but I know the ps4 exclusives are coming.

Both consoles lack great exclusives if you take away remakes and one of these "great exclusives" is/was broken for the last month.

I bought both consoles knowing that I probably wouldn't get great games until 2015-2016. That being said, I couldn't be happier with my PS4 purchase. The lineup for 2015 is strong and we haven't even seen what all of Sony's AAA studios have been working on.

I'm almost to the point that these Sony studios have to start showing their work. How much longer do they need? Half of these titles have had to be in development 3+ years. And we get no information yet?

The first next-gen system you buy, its hard to regret...because in addition to exclusives, that's your entry point into the world of all "next-gen only" games...a category thats probably gonna become huge by end of 2015 when a lot devs stop creating for last gen.

However, its REALLY hard to justify the second next-gen system you buy because...then you are essentially dropping all that money for the marginal benefits of that company's exclusives.

I used to think like this but the two consoles couldn't be more far apart. The multimedia features set them aside for me. Playstation is great for gaming. The multi media features on the X1 are great the exclusives just add the bang for the buck.

I would argue that you are in the very small minority of gamers, if you heavily weigh the multimedia features of the XBONE into your decision to purchase that system...

... and you are part of an even smaller minority if you saw that as justification for purchasing an XBONE as a second system after already having a PS4.

Bells and whistles...doubtful that scores of people purchase just for that. Essentially, the systems have the same core function.

Naw I didnt weigh it in my decisions to purchase the console I bought it to play the exclusives. I thought the same thing when I purchased my X1. I even took it back,but something made me get it agin. I discovered the multimedia while playing around with it. I wouldn't consider the multimedia bells and whistles it's apart of the xbone functionality if you ask me.
