I bought a ps4 because I no longer have the urge to play Xbox or games like halo competitively.. Even though now and then I have flashbacks to how hard I used to compete.. I think of ps4 as my retirement. Still getting used to their culture.

MCC is far from competitive, that's 343 fault tho lol.

what they mean to say is that the MCC is absolutely trash. colossal failure. to be honest, the only real "competitive" shooters out right now are COD and battlefield. and personally i dont have an interest in either of them right now. cod hasn't done it for me since black ops 1. i got bo2 but it was wack. bf4 was verycool, but i didnt have a squad to run with

PS was always the best platform for single player games sure. Xbox was heavy into MP games and it shows in the difference of personnel that have each system. But it doesn't mean that both can't delve into the others realm. Hell, Xbox had Fable which was a highly regarded franchise for 1 and 2. I know that 3 was supposedly underwhelming. The Witcher is a PC game and 2 was on the 360. FPSes are almost always multi-platform. However, other than Titanfall and Destiny what new franchises have come out? Every company is just trying to rebadge what they already put out. Consumers could demand for something different by not buying the new COD and BF until they fix the games, but the blind will continue to do so.

All FPSes are generally the same same to me minus Destiny. Each have their own little styles and nitches that differentiate them from the other but they only rely on MP PvP portion rather than having some sort of RPG elements. Most people don't want the RPG elements, especially American gamers, but they add an extra layer of complexity.

This Gen has been underwhelming as a whole, but the next few months should change that hopefully.

All you said is true bro but Xbox has unofficially branded itself more for competitve FPS gaming. Halo, COD partnership Gear i.e.

The social aspects of the 360 was also a huge factor, lobbies tend to be more silent when I played FPS on PS3. 360 lobbies were redneck town halls.

I have met some dope randoms on TLOU on PS4 however, Sony has brought the system up to speed socially, the exclusives are really going to determine who receives the gold medal this gen.

Hopefully both companies come with some megatons at E3. Personally Sony is already winning (for me) solely based off of the JRPGs that are coming. I know MS has some games that they haven't shown off yet so hopefully we can see some stuff on them i.e. Scalebound, Quantum Break, Crackdown etc. I prefer my PS over my X1 but I want both companies to succeed. It makes it better for the consumer.

Last night I slapped a team up on Destiny, and this dude messages me calling me a hick then proceeded with the N Word.. I thought to myself like dam, I didn't know people still did this.. Then his teammate messaged me apologizing for his teammate.

This kid I use to be cool with was suspended on Xbox a few months back then recently banned, he had to create a new GT, he's nuts however and makes mad threats to people online.

COD isn't the same tho, being it's harder to go ham people aren't really as upset, most the time anyway when someone is getting owned they just quit now. I miss the folks who sat through punishment.

All my boys already know that when we get that Gears Remaster they need not bother sending me invites to anything PS4 releated. Gears is my favorite MP experience of all time. Number 2 would be Goldeneye 007
