We all know it's inevitable.. what are going to be some problems at launch

Shortages? Overheating issues? Online issues with PSN
 
I can't wait for the PS4 to drop, feels like Xmas. I don't remember being this stoked for the PS3 launch. I think it was the PS3 price tag.

And H3bto I know that feel.. Since E3 it has gone quick for me. I haven't really thought much of it.. but with these game sales and it being a week away, the hype is building broham

What exactly does this warranty cover?

I had my ps3 slim since 09 and never had a issue with it y'all think the ps4 going to have problems?

The PS4 come with a 1 year warranty from Sony.

I'm going to wait 11 months then get Sony's 2 year extended warranty which is $49 for the normal plan and the other plan that includes incidental coverage is $59.

Boutta pull the trigger on the b2g1 going with marvel legos, 2k and I want a fps, which is the best for replay? Call of duty, battlefield or killzone?

I really didn't look in to it.. none of my consles ever messed up on me, but i'm  thinking about getting one this time around

o  you can extend the warranty with sony before the year is up ? i'm gonna do that then.. thanks for the heads up
 
Never had any crazy issues with any of my launch consoles.. probably will stick with the warranty that comes with PS4 if it's only a year and I hear problems with the PS4 maybe I'll buy squaretrade near the end of it.. if something is gonna happen it will happen early on I think.

IMO BF4, I never played killzone and to me COD gets boring quick since all you do is run n gun over n over, seems like not much changes.
 
There be most likely be online problems day 1, so many people trying to connect

For replay value go for BF4

I did last night.. haven't got my promo code.. But battlefield already shipped and it's supposed to be here tomorrow. 2K hasn't and there is no time estimate or anything. Hopefully before Friday otherwise BF4 will hold me down.

Will talk to Amazon tomorrow about it when the promo goes live.. Pretty sure they will give me a code. Amazon is good for that.

Alright, follow me here.  This is kinda confusing, but I'll try to explain it to the best of my abilities.

I preordered 3 games for the PS4.  I preordered NBA 2K14 from Best Buy a long time ago (this is irrelevant).  I preordered BF4 and KZ from Amazon about 3 weeks ago.  Friday I thought I'd cancel one of my preorders from Amazon because I thought two FPSs would be overkill for launch.  I canceled one of them. Today I receive the same email from Amazon that many of you received stating that because I preordered two games I qualified for a free preorder.  I went and preordered Knack.  It didn't dawn on me until just a bit ago (and I confirmed it by looking through my open orders) that I only had one preorder, not including the free Knack, through Amazon. This oversight (as it still is right now....items are listed as PREPARING FOR SHIPMENT and Knack still has a 0 dollar amount) on their part has created a de facto Buy 1 Get 1 Free.  

I'm not suggesting everyone try this, I'd hate for someone to miss out on something they truly want,  but it is interesting.  If you received the email and you are either content with your two games you preordered or you are less than enthused by any of the other offerings, it might be worth a shot to use the code to preorder one the games you already preordered and then cancel the original order.

I'm guessing my order will ship tomorrow.  I'm not really bothered if in the end I do get billed for the game I got for "free."  I'll keep you updated tomorrow (or whenever it may be) when my items are shipped.

Just to update you guys....

Both my preordered and "free" game have shipped.  I was only billed for the preorder.  So, essentially this was a Buy 1 Get 1 Free after I had canceled one of my original preorders 2 days prior.
 
Sony leasing warehouses, GameStop working with UPS to avoid PS4 shortages


November is the time when retailer's websites and supply chains are most tested as shoppers flock to make holiday purchases. This holiday represents an especially large challenge as there are two new video game consoles launching just a week apart. A report Monday details a little at what Playstation 4 maker Sony and retailer GameStop are doing to deal with shortages.


Sony is leasing several warehouses temporarily across the United States so that it can react more quickly to demand and avoid sellouts according to a Reuters report.


Meanwhile, GameStop is working with the United Parcel Service to ensure that it has "on-the-fly access to more ships, trucks and planes" so it can have PS4 and Xbox One consoles in store quickly along with other high demand products.


Both the PS4 and Xbox One are in high demand with it being eight years since the launch of the current generation of consoles. Pre-orders for the two are currently running higher than their older siblings with both Microsoft and Sony reportedly holding on to extra units to ensure that the consoles are in stores launch.

For $80, you can get a 3 year warranty that covers accidents, spills, etc from squaretrade.

Their 3 year plan without accidental protection is $53.

I'd reccommend that over sony's warranty.
 
Tomorrow if i try this game deal on amazon.. ya'll think i should all ready have all 3 games in my cart and just refresh at 9 ? 
 
If I were to purchase a PS4 from GS will the Amazon squaretrade warranty apply to that PS4 or would it only apply to PS4s obtained thru Amazon?
