I didn't feel the graphical leap in these Next Gen Consoles until I saw that NBA 2K14 trailer...

Looks like I'm not selling away my PS4 on Launch Day.
 
Welp that trailer pretty much sealed my other game besides bf4 November 15th. I really wanted live to be good but from what I've seent we got more of the same dookie that made them cancel their last few games

Live used to have photo realistic graphics. I posted examples from older games. That teaser looks like doo-doo. It looks like a PS3 launch title. It also somehow looks worse than the last two Kyrie teasers they've released.

All the details that help with the immersion have been addressed in 2K next gen. The faces actually look like the real life counterparts. The jerseys fit. The jerseys even move around when the players move. No more bulky Supermen. The control scheme in the last couple 2K's has gotten better. Just from everything that has been released, 2K looks better.
 
2k is kind of the only thing that really has me holding on to my pre order right now.. i need to see that 5 on 5 game play asap, so i can decide

Your right bro I shouldn't have said always but more so recently (Live 10 and what they showed in Elite 11 and 13 before cancellation). All I'm trying to say is everyone is hyped over visuals which granted are amazing. But we know nothing about gameplay from either. So I'm not writing either off yet. Do I think Live will be better than 2K this yr? No....because EA is basically creating foundation for future Lives while 2K is more so just fine tuning things. If 2K14 looks like this but still is plagued with flaws and mishaps from this gen then what? I can look past graphics (which I dont think are as bad as everyone makes them seem) if the game plays well and is fun. If 2K nails gameplay to go along with these visuals tho then that's all she wrote for this yr. Other than that I think both games will nail certain aspects better than the other which is why I will have and enjoy both
 
I'm not even going to compare Live 14 to its competitor... it just downright looks like ****, period. I understand it's only a 10 second clip but on the flipside, you need to almost try to look that bad in 10 seconds. And it's not just the visual appeal of the graphics. From the movements of the ballhandler, defender, screener, all in a 5 second span - the jerkiness, the sliding, the unnatural feeling. It looks like it won't be fun on the PS4, the PS2, the Vita, or whatever it is. :x

Im not worried about the gameplay for NBA 2K14. 

Current generation has been maxed out for a while. I just want a smooth 60 FPS.

Def see where you're coming from but like u said it's only 10 secs. Tomorrow when they show the 5 on 5 and if it still behaves like that then I'll be more harsh. Everything from the past justifies your position too Live and EA lost the benefit of the doubt awhile ago. I'm just hoping one of my fav franchises can at least come out with a viable option

the system looks so sleek/modern/minimalistic from above. but then u see its ******ed shape from the side lol.  im not even hyped about the ps4 anymore with them cancelling all the games i wanna play. hopefully some preorders get canceled tho so i can go pick up one on release day then flip it for a profit. Ill go buy the ps4 when the games I want actually release. At this rate, the only games I care about would be 2k (if they address the SLEW of problems they have with defense) assassins creed, batman, and killzone.

This is why I held off from pre-ordering. My video game systems always gather dust for the first year or so when there are no good games out/games' release dates keep getting changed. Gonna wait til MGS comes out before I purchase it

Is that how you access the HDD to change/upgrade it? That's pretty cool. They even have a special bolt. :wow:

I should look into buying a hard drive. I bought a 320GB maybe a couple years after I got the OG 60GB. Half a TB might not be enough for these consoles in the long run. Killzone: Shadow Fall is like 50 GB's.

what if the maps werent wrong and it was like that ps4 apartment building? you go to these random places theyve marked on maps that look like a total mistake. soon as you get there its some sort of playstation oasis theyve set up? thatd be crazy...and also will never ever happen. ever. lol
