Sony can't match Microsoft's wallet, but Microsoft can't match Sony's world wide studios. With the exception of KI and Forza, their biggest launch window exclusives are developed by third parties.
I wouldn't be surprised if an Xbox guy made those. Seeing a petition for Ryse was the first red flag. Plus no one is signing those.

I never thought about that. They definitely weren't this sure about the game's exclusivity back at E3. A couple days ago Major Nelson was asked about the exclusivity and couldn't give a definitive answer. Maybe those OS and Live on the X1 having problems that may take months after launch to fix rumors are true. That and the recent resolution stuff. They probably threw more money at EA to deflect the bad news.

Wait what's wrong with Ryse tho? Microsoft/Xbox has games I wanna play too (Ryse, KI, Titanfall). Probably gonna end up getting one before its all said and done....

No you can not play all the ps3 games you own right when gaikai becomes available.
You play a sub fee.
Idk if it's going to be monthly or by how many games you play in said month.
Also, they've said that they'll add a "library" of games.
If ps1/ps2 classics is any indication of how soon you can expect good titles to hit gaikai, then don't except that gaikai's game of library to be amazing.
I'd assume that it'll be lackluster for some months, before it becomes worth it's sub fee.

You act as if MS doesnt have worldwide studios also. They opened up 3 more in the past year or so

But you'd be a fool to think M$ was ever going to even get close to making it multi-platform. We all saw that coming.
