When i pre-ordered the ps4, dude at GS was dying for me to put $5 down on Knack :lol:


Looks like a fun game but not for $60.

IDK what it is, but some GS employees are pushy.

I bought two cheap *** games from there yesterday, rage/mass effect 2 for about $11.

It should have been a quick in and out, but instead the lady's informing me of some promos.

Even though I politely said that I wasn't interested before she even started talking about the promos.

I imagine their employee meetings are like al pacino's speech in any given sunday.

"preorder by preorder, useless dlc by useless dlc."

"When we add up all those preorder numbers we're going to make a ....ing difference."

"Between Gamespot winning and our customers losing."

It appealed to me the most out of all launch titles. I preordered COD, Madden, and 2K as well, but I can play those on my 360 if I choose to.

Watch dogs is the only "next-gen" game that seems appealing to me.

But since it's by ubisoft, I'm not getting my hopes up.
 
If amazon reopened preorders for launch day systems, does that mean my order will be bumped up too?Last email I got from amazon was 3 weeks ago talkin bout I get my system in January, doesn't seem fair

Honestly if you're unsure.. this is the best thing you can do. 

The last the you want to do is spend money a decent amount of money on something to find out you don't like it.. or it wasn't worth it..or maybe even after a while you notice most of your friends bought the XBOne and you wishing you bought that instead. Wait it out if you're unsure.

There is no real down side to waiting other than you not playing the games right away.

You wait, you have a better library, potentially more value through bundles or an eventual price drop, and can see how public opinion changes once they are out in the wild.

Had trading in not bought me my console, I very well may have waited until after Christmas.
 
Yo was the PS3 really reselling for $800-$1,100 on initial launch? If that's the case I can only imagine the PS4 craze.

If you're unsure, it's best to wait. I'm going with the PS4 because I've been playing on PlayStation's forever. I'll be the first to tell you I have a bias towards PlayStation. I did get a 360 eventually and I had every intention of getting a X1, but it would probably be down the line depending on certain circumstances. I really hope they remove the camera peripheral.

If someone develops a game that has an experience to rival and be as compelling as games like GTA, Call of Duty, God of War, Halo, Killzone, Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid, etc. that can't be done on a pad and is only possible with the camera, then people will buy the Kinect 2, but until then (if it even happens), don't force people to buy the peripheral. It's cool that some people are interested in it and happy to have it included, but most people don't think we're there yet in terms of motion control gaming and it's still gimmicky. I can use my controller to browse the UI, I can't be talking to my Xbox all the time, especially late at night.

"Rumor: Our internal product release schedule from head office dropped yesterday and on Oct 21st an unnamed Sony console will be launched. Fyi all console revisions like the ps360 slims and Wii Mini were listed as ps360 & wii mini. Previously the wiiu, 3ds and vita were also only listed as Nintendo/Sony Console in the product name column.

Disclaimer: I just work at a very large retailer, managing the electronics sales force and nothing more. I have nothing to do with purchasing, nation wide merchandising or shipping. I am not trying to play this off as I have connections at Sony, or I am some sort of insider. It's that just yesterday we received a product release schedule from our head office and I thought this is OT itt. These schedules btw, are for internal use only, designed to allow us time to create our instore merch plans. If the launch date for a product is unknown, it's simply marked TBA. The only time a date is ever included is when we have received confirmation of said date from the product company."
