The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

tbh I just was way to used to DS since I used it from DS1 to 2 to 3.

I guess the people who didn't use DS for multiple generations are mostly the ones that had such a problem with the 3. I didn't find 360 controller better or worse though, it was 100x than orginal xbox controller, which was universally hated.

All I wanted them to do was add a little weight to it. So I'm happy with the DS4.

That was the only thing that was better about the 360 controller. It had more weight and when I play my 360 then go back to the ps3 the DS feels really light.

But using that dpad on the 360 contoller is just annoying. :smh:

Am I the only one that's going to wait 6 months before buying? I don't want to get reeled in with the anticipation and jump the gun.
I completely understand why people would want to wait.. a lot of people don't buy stuff when things first drop.. which is understandable they want to make sure all those little problems are fixed before spending 400-500 dollars on something.

I have bought systems on release and haven't had issues with them.. dunno if I'm lucky or things are just blown up..

When peoples 360's were RRODing my launch day 360 died like a year or so ago.. same with the OG xbox

Sorry, i was commenting on empirestrikesfirst's reply to Velle23, who asked what features does the PS4 have that the PS3 doesn't.

Off the the top of my head just the sharing button that uploads gameplay videos on to Facebook-newsfeed-looking user interface, the controller's touchpad, and gaikai

Not sure if Gaikai should be considered an exclusive ps4 feature since any smartphone and tablet will be able to stream games from it.

oh my fault.

carry on.

The Battery capacity is 1000mAh which is double that of the Dual Shock 3.

Nice.. I never had an issue with battery life on the DS3.. I'd go a really long time before I connect it to the charger.

Now we doubling that

beastly!!! that will be of great use..

i remember smashing Uncharted 2 on a Saturday, must have played 9-10 hours with a few breaks in between..

i had played the BF3 beta when it first released and i didnt like it. didnt wanna risk spending $60 and i still wouldnt like it, but i do admit that Call Of Duty is kinda the same game rehashed througout each installment..

Yea it should last a lot longer than the DS3 but remember it's got a speaker as well so it depends on how much that's been used.
I don't think the touch pad will drain the battery life though so all in all, better than the DS3.

What difference would it make if you were? You explained your reasoning and everything, so even if everyone said that they're getting it at launch, you clearly don't intend to stop waiting.

But I too plan to give it some time before I pick one up.

I agree. COD is introducing dog. Such a stupid gimmick. I had the last BF but never had a real squadso I gave up on it too early. I'll be back for good this year.

Battlefield is only fun when you have a proper squad. Especially the Bad Company games. Had so much fun with those.

When you have a bad squad that doesn't communicate or have mics, it makes it rough. I was playing Rush and I was blowing up the first crate with a patrol boat. Blew right through the wall and had that thing going good until my squad member spawned on me in the boat and drove it away. All he had to do was chill until I was finished, THEN ride off, but he took us out of bounds AND let the other team spot us. Didn't end well. Had me so mad.

You right.. forgot about the speaker and the light up top.

And agree with BF being more fun with a proper squad.. but to me that's all games. I hated playing COD if I was playing dolo but it was fun because you can go in by yourself and still dominate and carry your team.. I could never do that in BF maybe cause I wasn't as good

To me the DS3 was a way more versatile controller than the 360 controller. There's no type of game that I couldn't play with the DS3. I play a lot of fighters and I don't want/like arcade sticks so DS3 was perfect for me. I wouldn't be caught dead playing a fighter with that 360 controller. The DPad is laughable and the placement isn't favorable for fighters either.

For people who don't know how epic or how much fun Battlefield can become...

EDIT: Pardon some of the ridiculous edits, sound clips, and commentary.

Maybe I'm an outlier, but I found the 360 controller to be far superior to the ds3.

I owned a ps1 and ps2 before buying a 360.
