The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

I bought a 1TB SSHD along with my PS4 at launch so I've never experienced the speed difference if there is any of the normal drive.

I put the 500GB from the PS4 into my PS3 for the PS+ games.

I do a mix, I'll get a digital game if it's a really good deal, but having more space than sense, I tend to hoard stuff. I still have a backlog of ps2 games I wanted to play.

My PS4 has not accepting discs. Came home today and found my game ejected while the system was turned off. I tried putting it in safe mode and restart the database as I read online that's what others did, but still nothing. Looks like I have to bring it in to Best Buy but I was wondering if anyone knows of any quick fixes.

NRS needs to go ahead and buy Capcom so we can get the crossover we've all been waiting for since we we kids

I know this would never happen but it doesn't hurt to dream

I don't think that there's going to be a ps brand hdd , since somy doesn't even make their hdds.
You can cop a 750gb-2tb hdd right now and put it into your ps4.
How are they going to make the hdd specifically for the ps4?
Y'all want the ps vita memory prices version 2.0?

Good point.

I was expecting some sort of price drop announcement at E3, I need that 64GB joint. I'm tired of swapping out 4GBs with an 8GB

I bought a 320 GB HDD for the low for my OG 60 GB PS3. Just waiting on a good price for a 1.5-2 GB one. I really don't want to spend over $100 on one, but I don't know anything about how long it takes for them to go down in price.

My take on the Vita memory is that since it's proprietary from Sony, there isn't a market for other manufacturers to make them. Plus the Vita isn't selling well enough to move a lot of memory cards to eventually produce them in higher quantities and start selling them for less.

Imo, you're better just keeping the stock hdd in there.
You'd save the most money by just waiting for sony to support external drives.
4tb externals can be had for $120-150. That's a good deal when compared to having a 1-2tb hdd in the ps4 itself.

Yeah, but will an external USB drive be useful for games? Is the transfer rate of USB fast enough to run these games that are 15-40 GB?

I would rather have an internal drive.

Haven't really kept up with the console wars but can someone tell me why i should choose a ps4 over an xbox1? :nerd:

It's all preference really. Xbox One is better for media entertainment but PS4 has a better performance when it comes to games specifically. And then you have to look at the exclusives and what interests you. Xbox is known mostly for their FPS games and Playstation for their single player games but each has their exceptions.

Because ill sale my 3 month old ps4 for 340 shipped to you. I purchased mine to keep up with my sony allegiance but i also had a one so the only thing I'm missing out on is uncharted 4 whenever that comes out. Never really been a fan of drivers, order got pushed back, batman got pushed back, destiny reminded me of halo and it's multiple console, there's nothing I'm really looking for that exclusive to the system. Feel the same for xbone but but I'm hold onto that seeing as I have more games for it ATM and I got a free year of live.

I've normally played xbox but everyone i've talked to has said the ps4 is better.

@Wartortle: you're pry right. All comes down to preference and the consoles library of games.

It really depends on how much time you have to play games vs an addictive personality

Some people need the system with less games to save themselves from themselves.
