dude looks like he could kick the bucket at anytime.

If us fans will put an effort to stay alive long enough to read the last book then that fool needs to take care of himself and finish the books faster.

I wonder how the show is going to cope with that.

I believe GRRM gave the creators a rough outline of how the books will end cause they anticipate the show can possibly end before the final book is published.

I think he told them in case he died before the books were done. Not sure he would allow the show to spoil the story if he's still writing. If that did happen i'd stop watching the show.

Ugh, it was scheduled for this year like 3 years ago  then in January his ******* publisher comes out and says it won't be published before '15. I know this old **** is either gonna croak as he writes the 7th book or as soon as it's published. He's gonna be 66 if he finishes the 6th book by early next year...67 if he finishes it after September

is prince oberyn really that important and tough as everyone is making it seem.. also.. if i ask why he is called the red viper will it be a spoiler?

No spoilers, but gonna put it in one anyways

In his youth, Oberyn was fostered at Sandstone. At sixteen, Oberyn was found in bed with the paramour of Lord Edgar Yronwood, so the lord challenged him to a duel. The duel was to first blood, given the prince’s youth and high birth, and both took cuts. Lord Edgar's wounds festered and killed him. Oberyn has been known as the "Red Viper" ever since by friends and foes alike, due to rumors that he fought the duel with a poisoned blade.

Just caught the season opener and man, how much I've missed the show.

The ending was like icing on the cake for the episode.

wow HBO never crashed for me with the previous seasons... didn't know it happened with True Detective smh
I was shocked when it went down too, especially since the viewer base is nowhere near GOT. I never had problems in the past either, let's hope they fixed what happened to TD.

It did. I tried, failed then started read a Dresden File book. I'll watch before next sunday
