I also am a bit disappointed in this week's episode. Still pretty good though. A few thoughts:

- I was the one that posted about the Arya theory from Reddit and it sounded better than what actually happened. So the entire season we see Arya training with the Waif, and we don't even get to see them fight? Also, how do you get stabbed in the gut multiple times (not to mention the knife was twisted) and recover like that? I'm glad she's heading back to Winterfell but feels like a waste of time.

- Jaime reverting back to his old self again bothers me too. All this growth for nothing, it seems. Riverrun was also wasted to me.

- The Hound is appreciated, always good for a laugh.

- Bronn is still hilarious, seeing him and Pod together is always welcome.

- I seem to be the only one who enjoys Tyrion's scenes with Grey Worm and Missandei. She was tipsy off that wine

- LSH teasing continues, I'm convinced she will be revealed the last episode. Too many Catelyn references to ignore, plus all the hanging.

- Never thought I'd hate Tommen more than Joffrey but damn, he's a goddamn fool. Even if you hate your mother, how you gonna pretty much condemn her like that? Straight puppet.

- Cleganebowl hype is pretty much dead, and even though I couldn't see how the Hound would even go to KL, I am disappoint.

- And yes, I'm mad they didn't show Blackfish taking out a few Lannister soldiers, at the very least. Character was wasted.

The next episode is likely to be completely Jon Snow, so how do they tie up everything in the final episode? We obviously won't get answers for every storyline, but I would at least like some sort of closure for Cersei and King's Landing, Dany and Mereen (hoping Yara/Theon make it down there and maybe they finally head to Westeros or at least hint at it?), some sort of direction for the White Walker storyline, Bran and Coldhands, too much to even type. Hoping they end the season on a strong note.

I really really really really REALLY hate how waif put the knife in Arya DEEP....and TWISTED it for good measure.

Only for Arya to just walk over to the C grade soap opera actress' house and magically get patched up

Why get my hopes up just for this **** to have no effect on this bird the next week.

And we've gone a good month without seeing Ramsay man.

Thrones really falling off

Tommen a *****. I know the god Joffrey rolling in his grave :frown:

Last 2 seasons been pretty much a waste

We cant even use the book as the source material anymore

Nothing really happens with arya, she got her training thats all

Cersei been awaiting trial for over a season

Tyrion spends a whole season trying to get missandei and greyworm to drink

Stannis and Blackfish gets off screened

Every time Daenerys Fs up, she gets an upgrade, unbelievable

Clegane bowl hype dead

Jaime still is a p and is still p whipped, i would have respected him if he sacked river run. Such stupidity by the tullys should not go unpunished

Couple of thoughts after watching last night's episode and reading the responses in here:

-Yes, no one liked the Mad King. The reason Jaime is shamed for it, however, is because he was a member of the Kingsguard. He was sworn to protect the old man and stabbed him in the back. If he hadn't been in the Kingsguard, he wouldn't get the Kingslayer jabs that are constantly thrown at him.

-I don't think Arya knew she was going to leave the Faceless Men all along. I think she genuinely wanted to become one of them, but realized near the end that she has too much attachment to her family and her home to completely strip herself of her identity.

-So Dany just left her army behind and peaced on her dragon? Been saying this all season, but that storyline needs major work.

-Need more Bran, him and Jon have been the best plotlines by far this season.

-I think that Edmure cut a deal with Jaime. Something along the lines of, you give me your uncle and I'll have the Freys free you and you can have your titles back. If not for that, then why would he let the Lannisters in? Remember Frey looking at Jaime and telling him that this better not backfire? Well it easily could have and Edmure could have stayed in his castle and fought them off with his uncle. Instead he let them in because he is tired of being held captive and couldn't care less about his uncle who told his captors to cut his throat if they pleased.

-Best part of the episode was Bronn clowning on Pod for being a grown *** man and still squiring, then proceeding to compliment him on his legendary Mandingo.

Knowing how the characters/storyline are in the books makes this season extremely disappointing. I really don't understand the unnecessary changes, because it's not like those changes are improving the story. They just make no sense and make the story worse. There's a few changes over the past few seasons that I like better than the books, but this season...

i thought it was because he went to the red priestess for help in brainwashing the people after he made that deal?

This whole thing about Arya and other characters having a pointless storyline is funny as there are 2 seasons left. Some of these arcs are slow burns.

Arya learning the trades of assassins after having her parents and brother killed is pointless? She could have gotten the Sansa treatment

Could be but we never got any information that would imply that the masters have some kind of problem with the lord of light.  We do know they wont their slaves back.

Basically all arya learned in braavos was how to mix potions and make poisons. I guess she'll start poisoning the wine of her enemies.

Jaime also threatened to launch Edmure's kid from a catapult. It's not in the Freys best interest to restore Edmure's titles. They already have the Riverrun heir via Edmure's son. At this point, they can just have Edmure whacked.

She's a decent fighter just not better than the waif with a staff. I guess she can fight in the dark now too so she's basically a shinobi.

Question about Jamiee and the Mad King. If he were to explain that the mad king was planning on burning the entire city down, would people look at him as a hero, or still the kingslayer? How deep do these oaths go?

I think Arya wanted to become one solely to get revenge on her enemies. She wasn't able to completely get rid of everything that defines who Arya Stark is. She definitely ended up leaving sooner that she planned because of the waif, but I feel like her plan was to learn everything she could, be part of the faceless men and leave when the time was right.

Dany stay leaving her people behind, and riding off with Drogon. What I don't understand is why one day she can summon him up out of no where, and the next she can't? Or why he can sense she is in danger one day, and the next he can't?

I'm definitely more interested in Bran and Jon's arc at this point. Arya too if she does more than kill Cersei. Who is left on her list? once that is done what is she going to do?

Where's Jorah?

True

Arya learning the trades of assassins after having her parents and brother killed is pointless? She could have gotten the Sansa treatment

I believe D&D have also called her Waif.

Yeah. I thought it was obvious Jamie had Edmure shook. Riverrun storyline made sense.

Braavos and Meeren had me side eyeing last night though...

if the slaves in meereen found religion in the lord of light, then i guess they would never go back into a life of slavery

As apposed to the freedom they have now? The Red Priests/Priestesses are telling people to follow Danny because she is the chosen one. I can see the slavers having a problem with that, but I personally think its simple. They saw Danny is gone and took advantage of that and attacked the city.
