never knew about these until today, interesting find via sneakernews

As far as numbers go on the original Air Jordan V, you already know that this particular colorway came in its OG form without the #23 embroidery along the side. The pairs that did have said detail were the Michael Jordan PE versions, like the autographed one that’s up for grabs in this auction. Making them all the rarer is the interesting 40/100 designation that shows up on the box and on the inside of the tongue (Apparently all 100 of the range were produced in MJ’s size 13). Continue reading for a look at this crazy pair of numbered, autographed, original Air Jordan Vs and chime in on the comments below if you’re familiar with the backstory. Also, add this rarity to your collection right now courtesy of phatbat on eBay.

yeah thanks for the share.
interesting how the moulded leather around the ankle has lost its shape

Are you sure these are legit?  Something about the shape of these just looks off to me.  The padding on the ankle area of the shoe and also the toe box looks funny.  It could be that I'm too used to seeing retros, and also seeing sizes smaller than a 13, where the toe box isn't so long.

Those are real. Shoes have changed shaped many times from their og models. I remember seeing mj wear these in games

Yep too used to seeing the retro, this is shoe is real. Crazy thing is I wished the retro pairs looked like these if they looked like these without the Nike Air branding I would be happy.

It hasn't, it wasn't as defined on the original, even the 2000 retro isnt as defined and stiff as these pairs 2006-present

the 2000 white/silvers had more of a mould than this seems to have. of course they aren't as exaggerated as modern v's.

Have people really forgotten what the OG's look like?? :smh:

1990 was a long time ago.

This is why I like/hate to see a true OG, it shows you what these retro's

suppose to look like, for example the toe box area looks better, but hey it is

an OG true to form, sweet pics......

It's true, I don't have 10,000 plus post like you, but I've been reading Niketalk forums for years, and have been collecting  for about 16 years.  I owned a pair of black/metallic OG V's back in 1990 when i was an 8th grader.  I wore a size 8 then, and haven't seen a lot of OG pairs in the past 20 years.  So it's not a stretch to believe that anyone could forget some of the details of OGs. It has nothing to do with my posting numbers
