Battlefield 4: The Thread

The $24.99 price is live again on Amazon for PC, PS3 and X-Box 360.

Speaking for PS3, you can buy the PS3 Digital code (I'm sure this will work with the disc copy as well) and upgrade to the PS4 version for an additional $9.99 ($24.99 + $9.99 = $34.98). Cheaper than buying the the PS4 copy straight up.

Once your PSN account is recognized that you own BF4, you can upgrade via this link or on your PS3/PS4 in the PS Store.

Just grabbed this for PC on Amazon. Missed the black friday sale but it's still on there for 35 which isn't bad. New to PC gaming and I'm going to get wrecked on there

To me, a keyboard and mouse is the optimal way to play an FPS. Once you get the hang of it, you'll love it.


Didn't realize this thread existed, surprised by all the issues people are having. Trying to decide if I want BF3 or BF4.

BF3.

It has a real party system.. not that bs they tried to do in BF4.

But if you're only playing dolo I'd consider 4.
 
If anyone wants a china rising code for xbox dm me. I bought premium so I don't need the code.

Most of the really fun times when I was playing BF2 was when I was playing with others I knew and who were about working together so looks like I have my answer.

You can still play with your friends on 4 ...

When they join a server you're in they'll automatically be put in your squad.

No party system .. it's not a deal breaker. It's not a game like CoD where you can't select a server to join.

Just find a server with the number of available slots you need and you'll be fine.

All the servers available usually have 0/everything

So we did quick match.. but jk your server is full try again until we can all join.

Why couldn't we just get the basic party system..

Do you play on console?

I'm not sure if the server browser system is the same on console, but use the filters (set to 1-5 or 10) and sort the servers by amount of players (descending) and you should find a good amount of servers available.

I have no problem playing with my friends.

Yeah, the new consoles.. I don't recall seeing a filter.. maybe I didn't try looking hard enough

But still.. they need a real party system that is simple not this crap.

Might buy it again down the line.. but it went back to GS
 
Okay, I just bought the game the other day, thinking I would like it more than COD, and I have no idea what's going on in the multiplayer. 

If someone could just give me a quick run down of all the different types of soldiers you can be, the perks, and the maps, it would be greatly appreciated.
 
Need some people to run with in my squad on XBox One, playing alone is NOT the way to go in this game... GT: sw33nskill

Bought this for the PS3 on Black Friday and probably only played a few rounds.

The lack of a party system just kills the game. Three of my other friends bought it at the same time too but we haven't even touched it.

Ok, I added you back. I usually get on sometime around 9 PM mountain time. What mode do you play? Would be nice to get some more to roll with too.
