He extends the lineup, provides protection and prevents too many utility slap hitters from being in the lineup.

Good way to end the long road trip, at least they didn't lose the four game series to the Padres.

Record against NL West teams is atrocious, this team is just playing bad baseball. Hard to keep playing the "They'll turn it around ______", simply because this is the last week of June. Is there time to make a run, yes, but too many variables to make it happen.

Would love to see what this team can do with a completely healthy lineup. (C- Ellis, 1b- Gonzales, 2b- Ellis, SS- Hanley, 3b- Someone with a pulse, OF- Crawford/Puig/Kemp). Not holding my breath, they need to do something with Ethier, just does not look interested at all out there. Here is his chance to keep his spot and just doesn't bring much to the table.

Starting rotation has been solid as of late, especially Capuano. Bullpen is trash.

You would have AJ Ellis batting leadoff and Mark in the 3 spot???

Ideal first 5 would be:

1. Crawford

2. Puig/Kemp

3. Gonzo

4. Hanley

5. Kemp/Puig

That wasn't a batting order, just a starting lineup,

1. Crawford
2. Puig
3. Kemp
4. Gonzales
5. Ramirez
6. Uribe
7. Ellis
8. Ellis
9. Pitcher Spot

That's a lot of dead weight at the bottom, Uribe gets the nod until his average dips below .215. Cruz shouldn't even be on the roster at this point, Punto has come down to Earth. Punto and Schumaker are scrappy bench guys, far away from the starting lineup as possible.

I would honestly have Skippy over Uribe. Dude looks like he's gonna fall over every time he swings. He has been hitting better as of late though.

I would like the Dodgers lineup to be more lefty, righty, lefty, righty.

I remember at the beginning of the season someone said puig for Giancarlo Stanton, I said pull the trigger

But now that we've seen him play? lol idk man

Idk I think he's good where he's at, I can see him being in the 4 spot and trying to do to much, he's already had at bats where he gets pissed and tries swinging harder cause he's pissed from his at bat earlier, in the 2 spot he's just trying to hit the ball hard

Solid win tonight despite Ryu not looking his best. he battled...a few notes.

-positive outing for belisario. Blew away pence and started the next inning and retired leadoff hitter. Huge.
-not a fan of bunting after leadoff doubles. For petes sake give ur lineup 3 chances to drive in a guy already in scoring position. .lad got away with one with bumgarners wide throw.
-MATT KEMP to be POSSIBLY ACTIVATED TOMORROW..no more hairston in the 5 hole. Pls.
-bumgarner is filthy...period.
-kenley with the save...whiffing scutaro, a contact hitter was HUGE with posey on deck.
-sarah fashi or whatever her name is can get it.

-how dare I forget PUIG. Another bomb to the opposite field off a change 6 inches outside plus the go ahead ribbie..and dude needs to pick his spots on the bases..LMAO, the man is uber aggressive to a fault sometimes.

Puig needs to bat cleanup.

Too much speed, perfect two-hole hitter at this point in his career. You need someone like that. Kemp is our best hitter, I still believe that, right now it's all in his head, but once he gets back to his normal self that 2-5 is going to be killer. A healthy Crawford, makes it a very tough 1-5. "Healthy" is a very very key word.

Puig, we are looking at Matt Kemp 2.0 :smile:lol). Athletecism and skills are there, but you will see the blunders due to inexperience.

Kemp needs to get healthy, when he is healthy he is great to watch. Seems like that 2011 season was ages ago.

I feel like Kemp in the 2 spot would be ideal for him at the moment. Less pressure than having him bat 3 or 4.

Amen, 2011 he killed the game and then he came out on fire in 2012 before getting hurt. One of my favorite players in the game. I really wanna see that outfield of Crawford/Kemp/Puig cause that athleticism and electricity they'll bring would be unfair :x that is if Kemp starts swinging the bat well again.

Very potent middle of order tonight! Lets see if we can "kick kickham around" 5-7 runs dare I say?????? Or is that a pipe dream off a rookie???

Puig, Gonzalez, Ramirez, Kemp and Ethier can be a deadly 2-6 if they all stay consistent :nerd:

Subscribed to MLB.tv so I can watch my Mariners game and Dodger games too, but I stay getting blacked out due to living in Central Cali :smh:

I'm confident the Dodgers are going to make a run soon, like many said, staying healthy is half the battle....

SMH at Posey hitting a dinger as a write this....
