Watched a video 10 years ago that still haunts me today......

for whatever reason, none of those gory vids have an effect on me.

The video OP is talking about is very grainy, low quality. You can barely see anything. Still extremely sad, though. RIP to Mr. Berg.
 
is this video worst than the 3 guys or whatever and 1 hammer?

or how about when the cartels use a chainsaw to cut dudes head off and then use a dull knife to cut the head off of the person next to him?

I have a question: why do you guys watch these things?

As adults, we still hold onto some level of innocence. Why would you rob yourself of that by watching torture videos? What are the pros? Is satisfying your curiosity worth it?

Just curious.

Been desensitized since my youth. I don't look for the vids but I'll watch them when I come across them. No pros, just a video to me.
 
I'm with you OP. There are a lot of things I've been desensitized to, but that was one that I will NEVER forget. I was thinking it would be with a sword, or long knife that would cut off his head and kill him after the first swing. I don't know how they were able to stomach it themselves having to literally saw his head off. At least do the person the courtesy of killing them first and then mutilating their body.
 
Shesh i can't believe it's 10 yrs already I remember being in Hs and it's all ppl taled about was damn did U see that be heading vid..it defiantly had me shook in 04 the worst part was the dull knife trying to do the job but that other vid of the Russian kids making snuff films those were messed up

I don't feel that people have necessarily been desensitized, just disconnected. Certainly everyone's reaction would be different if some of these people were friends or family.
 
My friend showed me a video of Mexican cartel cutting homies d of and the worst part my boy was enjoying it
 
i stay far far away from videos like this and cannot fathom why people would watch it

i remember awhile back there was a thread on here about banned movies, like a serbian film. i cannot even bring myself to watch fake stuff like that. stupid me got curious though and read the plot summary and it still shook me

Pretty much. Gore videos are for people that want to feel like they're badass, that they can take the heat of an extreme situation like that, and that they're "desensitized."
Yeah, you're ******g desensitized until the guy next to you gets his face blown off and then suddenly you can't sleep for a week. But no your life has been so rough sitting on your *** watching gore videos that it's left you unable to fear.

They usually don't shake me up too bad, but the hammer one got me. "3 guys 1 hammer" or something like that? That one made me an angry person inside...

BRO, i feel u! i saw that vid in 7th grade and literally stopped after they started sawing the neck. i felt sick for days, real sick.
