Anyone ever go out alone?

Its fun hitting the bar by yourself from time to time. The club feels kinda weird but i've done it before and once I got a couple drinks its all good. Plus usually when i went to club dolo, I end up seeing someone I know and its all good

i live in the same building as a few restaurants and bars - never been to the bar by myself but i've always wanted to

I've done the concert thing dolo before and i have had no problems.. Both times i've met good people and got passed good weed... thank the lord it wasnt the shenanigans

Everyone is too insecure.

Hoy **** at feeling you need to go with someone to make a purchase at the mall. That is just a regular thing wtf...

I do it every now and the . No one knows why you're there, if you're waiting for someone or anything. Dont just sit in the corner and stare thats weird. Otherwise just have fun and do you.

Am i the only one who hates large groups?? I like 2-3 friends max. Got a vacation planned with 6 people and im already planning on when ima ditch everyone

I'm in the same boat kind of, I want to go to a Kid Ink show in a couple weeks and the people i hang with are either broke, Don't wanna go cuz they don't know who Kid Ink is or don't wanna go cuz there wont be girls there. I'm honestly considering going by myself. I'm really not that social so i don't know if i should go solo.
Do it. If you're genuinely interested in seeing the artist; it's worth it. There's automatic entertainment and everyone there has something in common, so it's always a good time.

No offence but you'll be labelled as a creep unless your incredibly handsome. sorry, that's how society is
Sounds like you're jealous of people who have the self-confidence to operate alone

I went to a movie alone once. Watched American Reunion.

Was out riding my motorcycle one night and saw there was a midnight showing, so I said screw it. Enjoyed the movie.

But I've never went to a bar/club alone. Dunno if I have the personality for it.

I do it all the time. I don't get why going out by yourself is such a weird thing to do for most people and gets questioned often. If I was the type of person that have to depend on a friend or a crew to go out to the movies or bar, I will be at home every single weekend. does it get dull, kinda boring and lonely at times? yes I will admit that . but I got so use to it to the point where it's a norm for me now. I tried to invite friends to hangout and chill, but when it comes time to do it, they back out, so I said you know what I'm not asking anyone anymore, I'll just go out by myself. I just notice over the past couple years that people are just so wrapped up in their lives and so busy doing what they are doing that they just don't have time to hangout with you. I think social networking plays a big part in this because I started to notice it on facebook. Next week, Kendrick Lamar will be in my area for Sunfest, and I plan on going by myself. I ask some of my friends are they going, and most of them said no, so oh well. joint is gonna be crazy either way for me.

Man, I was at the Juicy J show last nite solo yolo.

I was definitely out of my element.

I love shaking up and expanding my comfort zone every now and then. If something is proposed and my first response is naw... I'll usually end up trying it out.

going to a movie alone isn't that bad, not sure about bar hopping tho. Get some new friends or buy some Bicardi 151 and have them drink on an empty stomach LOL if they are really that broke.

Ive been to the mall alone. Not bad I actually prefer it. Movies not really unless its an early showing. Bar it depends which one. Club? Helllll naaaaaahhh

I usually go to the bar alone if I'm going to eat or a happy hour.

People are a lot more friendly while drinking so it's easy to strike up a conversation

We’ve already established that going to the mall alone doesn’t count lol

Anyway, if you’re feeling uneasy about going out alone, go to a sports bar during a game (non big event) and just sit at the bar. It allows you to focus on something, so you don’t feel obligated to talk to other people. I mean, I have a TV at home, but I get bored on the couch, and sports are a communal event. Might as well join in and mix it up a bit.

Also, in my experience going to bars alone where I didn’t know the bartender, I almost always get one free drink out of it (usually during happy hours). Regardless of if it’s a guy or girl, too. Chat them up a bit, but don’t get too chatty. They appreciate the small talk being an upbeat person.

I think about doing tht all the time but not so much to a bar or club but to the movies or a solo dinner . I js be needing time away from everyone ... But I never go .

a lot of people frequent bars alone. They have a few drinks, chat up with bartender, mingle with regulars. It's not exactly like some bizarre tradition.

I went to the bar @the airport earlier this month and had a beer& some food while waiting for my flight. I exchanged small talk with people around me and even got a chance to borrow someone's charger (phone was dying, didn't want to go through maleta).
I would do it again, no hesitation.

edit: if OP is a chick, prepare yourself for possible creeper

yea im the same way.  idk if its my curiosity getting the best of me or what but these usually end up being good times

What age are you guys who frequently go to bars alone?

I generally only frequent bars who cater to the ages of 16-21 (I'm 19 btw) so showing up at any of these by yourself would be a pretty horrible idea.

Doesn't matter who you are if you go to a bar like this by yourself you're pretty much a loser in everyone's eyes. Maybe it's different for people a bit past that highschool mentality.
