Nike Lunar Eclipse 4 | First Look

Nike Lunar Eclipse 4

Mere days after debuting the next shoe in the flagship Air Max running franchise, today we have the next installment in another popular series — the Nike Lunar Eclipse 4.

The shoe’s design is an obvious successor to the previous Lunar Eclipse 3, again utilizing Dynamic Flywire along the side panel of a predominantly Engineered Mesh upper. But there are plenty of updates to the shoe as well.

Most notably, Hyperfuse construction through the side enhances breathability by way of an open-mesh panel, while a redesigned heel counter upgrades stability. Finally, the shoe’s Lunarlon midsole, already renowned for its maximal cushioning, gets an update as well.

Stay tuned for further info as it develops, including a Nike Lunar Eclipse 4 release date in the not-too-distant future.

I want to like these, but I don't so far. The colorways aren't very inspiring either. Hopefully detailed images help, but good looks on these.

I'm looking for a top view. I can't tell from the pics if they are still using the off center lacing like the 3s. I hope they go back to standard lacing. I'm feeling the all blues and the grey/volt so far.

I'm glad they finally updated the sole! I'm diggin' the Grey/Orange cw a lot!
I agree, I would also like to see a true black/white colorway with very little or no grey at all, similar to the ogs, like these

I am still kicking my self for not getting multiple pairs of this color I had so many chances and I bought other crap, I use them and the white/red ones for the gym now

An expensive LunarGlide that's what it is. They should kill off the LE series imo.

If they did that they'd have no premium stability trainer...then you lose all your flat feet customers who need something like that. Personally, I wish they never discontinued the equalon series.

What they need to do is bring back the medial post in their stability shoes like the Structure and Equalons used to have. This dynamic support doesn't cut it compared to stability offerings from other brands.

THIS. People who need stability don't care bout the weight and that's the only reason Nike took it out. Why would I buy the Structure now when it all it has is Dynamic Flywire for support? I am with you, they should have continued the awesome Equalon line.

Same. The first ones were the only ones I've been interested in. Wish I kept a pair of that original colorway in better condition.

I actually did buy a pair of the Structure 16, but they are only passable for casual wear, not working out or jogging. To say they are a huge step down from the 15s would be an understatement. My running store that I frequent said the Structure 16s have more or less just been gathering dust and are not moving quickly at all. Like you said, I need stability trainers and I could care less about the weight. So the medial post adds 1-2 oz to the weight. Big deal.

^ I definitely agree. I'm thinking September. Anyhow, I'm really looking forward to these after being a bit disappointed with the Free Flyknits...

I think I'll add that Red cw to my "Watch List".

here are some other colorways that i found. the colorblocking on the last pair (701) is the best i've seen, by far

The Volt cw is DOPE! I'll have to pass though, as I have way too many Volt shoes.

The Red cw is my new favorite. I can't wait to see them in person!

Much improved color blocking, but the shoe is just too similar to the LG IMO. Hard to justify the higher price tag for similar performance.
