T1i or anything new i think. They stopped using those sensors when Nikon introduced the D3 with a full frame sensor at the same price point as the1D series.

There are 2 types of Canon 1D series bodies, the 1Ds (full-frame) and 1D (APS-H) which has a 1.3x crop factor. Santi, I'm not sure where you heard aboutAPS-H sensors being discontinued but I'm pretty sure they haven't. They're geared more for sports and action photography.

For UWA lens owners out there (especially Tokina 11-16mm f/2.
...are you guys using filters like CPL? I've read on some articles and other forums thatthis is not advisable...

True. i got about 1300 to spend on a camera
if i cop the T1i im going to still need a lense
and if I get the D90 ill be good to go right out the box

CPLs are used to give a 'pop' to colors of the sky. Depending on where the light source is coming from, the orientation of CPL when mounted will giveyou varied effects. They also help avoid reflections when shooting water. ND filters have different grades. They're mostly used to take longer exposureshots of bright subjects.
The most common used filter is a UV filter. They're mostly used for protection. The more expensive they are the higher the quality you get.

Damn....Nikon runnin' circles around Canon.
BUt that flip down screen thing just doesn't make sense to me......but I guess it might have to do with these cameras having video mode. I am happy with myD90. Thanks Nikon for not making hate you guys.

That d5000 screen is such a gimmick but I think I'm falling for it.. can't wait to see the price and all the specs..

I kind of like it, especially for video, and also just being able to flip it in, and not worry about the screen getting scratched since itdoesn't come with a screen protector like most Nikons.
