Thanks
You can. Just set the picture style in the menu to Monochrome or blk/wht

Can anyone recommend a book or site geared towards NOOBs with photo editing with Photoshop. Or if any of you could post or PM me some tips it would be greatlyappreciated. Your boy is struggling.

Anyone know where to pick up a 430ex ii for less than $270? Seems like the lowest price i can find it for but don't wanna pay that.

I am choosing between these since there are a couple of body's on craigslist going for 250-300 and thats sort of my budget since im just a beginner and in college. =\ Anyways any help and input would be great thanks!
D50, but that's just me. also all the lenses your lenses your brother has (assuming they're just AF's) will autofocus on the D50, but not the D40 and D60

Ok Thanks. Is that the D50's only comparative advantage? As far as shooting go is the 60 or 40 any better? Im a bit new so its good to hear for experienced people since my brother isnt around much(doesnt live with me).
there are more megapixels in the 40 and 60.. but that doesnt really matter too much unless you're printing. there are more autofocus spots inthe 50. also the 50 is heavier bigger, idk if that really makes a difference to you though. just google d50 vs d40 vs d60 or some variation of that

i remember wen santi had Nikon in his sig...

Only the D60 has 10.1mp while the other two have 6.1mp. The D40X has 10.1mp, but not the D40. Basically, you'relooking at three identical cameras. You really should go with the D50 for now. You can use older lenses that are SO much cheaper. I chose the D40X because Ihad my heart set on it and I'm happy with the lenses I have now (except the kit 55-200 because it freakin' blows...-1 Nikon) but I wish that I couldget a 50 that would autofocus and snatch up steals on lenses that are older. 6.1mp is PLENTY. The 10.1mp is really kind of a pain in the butt because when Iopen the files they're just massive.

Stop it! Honestly the way I'm deciding is by buying which ever one shows up first. If there's a d5000 in stock I'll go for that. I did somereaserch and there are a few cheap canon primes I would like to get my hands on. The 35mm f/2.0 seems to be very underrated. Plus one of my wants is low lightISO and the samples of prduction T1i's are sick.

(lately it seems like most ppl shoot with nikon)
Welcome indeed, yeah i've seen an influx of Nikon shooters lately. I've used Canon since i had a film SLR so i already had an EOS lens sothat alone made me go Canon when i moved to digital, never looked back.

Is this worth buying i need to know asap please. Its some sort of attachable wide angle I came across on ebay a while ago.
