That 8mm sounds good. Not really feeling the MF only, but it should be a cheap alternative for fisheye lenses. If I buy it would be for video.

My thoughts, too. I know I have a hard time MFing in low light so I could definitely see it being a problem, but for half the price I may cop thissummer.

oooo, $338 doesnt seem too bad. how hard would it be to MF with it? because when i had the 50mm i couldnt focus for the life of me

and the same as everyone else about that new lens.. not feeling MF only

Anyone ever get a Pheonix lens.. they are madd cheap.. but does that mean they are mad cheaply too? I'm gonna look into them.. even tho I doubt I'd getany

^ Phoenix lenses are like Quantaray.

Trashhhhhhhhh.

With lenses, you always get what you pay for (with a few exceptions - i.e. 50/1.8 ).

You get used to it. I have the 50mm f/1.8 and I had a little trouble with it at first but I picked it up and now that's all I carry around.

Quick question for those of you who strobe. I have a D70, and I trigger an SB-600 wirelessly because a D70 has commander mode built in. I don't want to goout and buy another SB-600 if there are other flashes that can be triggered wirelessly from my D70. Has anyone tried this mode with a flash other than anSB-600?

^ Commander mode only works with Speedlights with Nikon's CLS system in them, I believe. That would mean only the Sb-600, Sb-800 and Sb-900 would only workwireless with commander mode.

I just bought a circular polarizer, and was wondering what tips (if any) you guys have for using it while taking panos? Should I just remove it completelywhen doing so? Or should I just manually rotate the filter so that the skies are as equal as possible between the shots?

I'm driving down Highway 1 in California from SF to LA in a couple days and looking to take some nice shots of the pacific

Thanks for the help!
