Ordered a Canon XS today with the kit lens and 75-300mm. I was aiming for a nikon d40 but the deal was too good to pass($~500). Can't decide whether to keep it or sell it and get a d40 kit. Opinions?

Yeah, I really want a telephoto now though. Looking at the 70-200 f/4L. A bunch of people recommended it.

SaNTi - If you can try to find the IS version .....

I'll recommend if on a budget the cheapo 55-250 it cost about $200 bucks

what kind of lamps do you guys use for a lightbox? for those who have built their own. i feel like putting one together one day but dont really know where tostart.

alright got a quick question for you guys... my dad is 65 and is need of a digital camera that is going to be easy to use with a simple design at a relativelylow cost. Hoping for something that has a big enough screen he can see what he has taken and something that doesnt have any delay on it and takes the picturethe exact moment you press the button... hopefully someone can help me out or pm me with some info, i'd appreciate it
