The second roll(fujifilm 400iso) wasn't loaded properly so it was a bust. This last roll (kodak color 200iso) out of 24 only 5 pictures came out. Granted they were clear and focused perfectly on the subject. The pictures were all taken around the same time in the same lighting background. What could have been the problem with the last roll of film? Or is it the camera? I'm starting to get the hang of aperture/shutter speed/focusing and what not, but the pictures aren't coming out. Can somebody shed some light for me
You're going to have to define what coming out means for me to give you a real answer but couple questions in the mean time. What kinda film likespecifics of it? And same lighting like same meter reading or you just feel like its same lighting? and you shooting everything w/ a flash? and if so whatshutterspeed is the stuff that doesn't come out?

this type of effect taking it as a b&w works better and gives it that nice feel.

Kinda like my friend (OG NTer) on Flickr. You should check it out. Here are some samples.

The last film I used was kodak gold 200 iso. I don't know what the lighting meter is, but inside my camera there's like little lcd lights that blinkand I try to match those up. Same light meant that a majority of the pictures were taken right after each other, basically I just focused a little more/lessand took more pictures. I'm not shooting with flash because I thought since there's so much light coming through the room it wasn't needed. But Idid use the flash on one picture and that picture also came out dark. I have the correct iso on the camera that matches with the film. What I think is that myfriend was taking pictures and she might have moved the shutterspeed settings. I had checked it and it was between 1000 and 500 but that was only 5 pictures. So confused about this, because I don't know if its the film or the camera. Thanks

Edit: I usally take all my pics at 1000 for shutterspeed, but I put it on auto for a couple pictures. It could have been the pictures that came out. I'llhave to look at the negatives to find out

Editx2: I looked at the negatives and the pictures that came out are near each other, like right after each other. So those may have been the ones that were onauto. I shoot this roll of film on auto to see how they turn out.

DAMN $226??? wow...

Probably cause theirs a new model coming out that is supposed to reaplce the XT. Rebel XS is what the rumors are saying. Similar specs from the XTi plus theaddition of a digic III processor, and live view, probably some other things.

Both the XT and XTi will be replaced. There will be an XS for the XT and an XSi for the XTi. They have abandoned CF, all SD cards now.

$226.99?

I heard there is some kind of event/show where companies introduce their new upcoming cameras/lenses/ etc. and supposedly it's in June/July... Anyone knowanything about this? Hopefully this will drive the prices of the current DSLRs down even further.. I need to pick up a nice one soon.

When it comes to taking good pictures are the settings that you have on the camera really important? Or is it really based on having one of those fancy Nikonor Canon cameras and such? I have a camera that's 8 mp and I can not seem to take a good clear pic. What are good tips for a clean, basic, clear pic?
