Where can I find a Digital Rebel XT (new) for cheap these days? The going rate on eBay is about $400; can I expect to find cheaper?

I need to break down an invest in a DSLR. Never owned one so I was thinking about starting off with like a D40 or something but I really want the video capturecapability so I'm looking at the D90. That Canon EOS 5d looks serious too but I don't know if I want come up off THAT much cake for my first DSLR.I'll be honest and admit I don't know *#%! about the different lenses. I take pictures with a point and shoot right now and even as a Graphic Designmajor...never took a Photography class so I got a lot of learning to do I suppose.

i dont have the $$ to shell it out for a ring flash but I'm gonna build one from scratch. suffice to say it wont look elegant and small but it'll getthe job done.

I live in MD, while waiting for my Steak n' Cheese and Fries, I stepped into a Radio Shack (sp) and to my surprise that had the Canon Digital Rebel XT w/Len for $359.99 (brand new - limited quantity available).

the best part about the pic of that girl is the way ur ring flash reflects off her eyes like a mirror. i found a few DIY plans for one off thenet, but outta curiosity how'd you make yours? it most def. works like a charm
