The D90 banner up top is dope. Kind off reminds me of the game"Bioshock" for some reason.

^^^Right on Santi. It was fun to just make whatever for once. Found all these cool photos online and just looked at it and put them altogether. It was going tobe a pirate bar but then just kind of lost its theme in the long run. I need to do more to it cause for some reason it looks bland to me but messing withcss/html coding is such a pain for me. I know the site looks jacked on Internet Explorer but i have no idea who uses that browser anymore anyways. It'scool for now.

Thank you in advance

It's not worth anything. The latter lens is probably worth significantly more than that body. You can get 35mm film SLRs for so cheap I doubt that thing isworth more than $50-60 at the very most as it's not really a collectable or notable body. The latter lens might be worth something but even the 50mm isprobably $50 at the most. And every camera store especially in NY is going to give you no more than Ebay prices and probably a lot less, like

less if theybuy it at all. Vintage camera are worth nothing unless it's collectable, rare, or quite expensive to begin with (i.e. like Leica's, Rollei's,Hassy's, rarer/more collectable models from the other manufactures)

Does anyone recommend this thing? I am so tuned into Canons and Nikons that I haven't even explored anything outside of that. Leica cameras always lookcool but I have never really spoke to anyone that has shot with it. If I had the ends, I would love to check this baby out.

I figured that was about right. Everyone is always gassed on the D-Lux 3 but I never seen why people would invest so much into a point and shoot and seeingthat Panasonic makes almost an identical (to a certain degree) camera for way cheaper. But it seems like the Canon G10 is taking over in that high enddepartment from how I am seeing it on here and in other message boards. I would love to explore film but feel like I have to utilize my digital equipmentfirst. I think I am going to start doing some printing very soon once I get something worth printing....

Thanks man, I'm trying to get FongStar Status .. lol .. Long way to go

Also, yesterday was my 1st real people shoot so I understand you probably will have a hard time unless you are all up on them - I was rolling with the 30mm andI found some shoots difficult not to mention shaking the nerves of shooting total strangers ..

30mm on a crop is quite far if you're doing on location shoots in the city. try the 24mm or the 17-55mm . I usually have either on hand alongwith a 50mm & 85mm

yeah 30 is pretty good range in the city especially TS but I'm not use to shooting people so I had to be getting on peoples faces

plus I had the 17-55 and took it off because I wanted the extras stops and I wanted more blur .....

I have more than a few pictures to post ...

i just go a sony alpha a200 from a friend, he barely used it so i got it for cheap.. it has the 18-70mm zoon lens and the 75-300mm zoom lens..

anyone else have this camera, i know its the basic camera of the alpha line.. any lens recommendations, im about to get a the hvl-f42am flash but not sure ifit would be worth it to get the f58am instead...

Yeah If I were ever to go back to 35mm I'd get like motor-driven Leica R8 or R9

r8.jpg

^Yeah like even that, that's pretty much classic 35mm SLR goes for next to nothing on Ebay. You could get a pristine one with 50mm kit for under a $100.

So why are Nikon FM2s so expensive still? Are they that much better then something like the Canon above?

^Just a guess I would say the original price probably high. Most of the prices of non-limited edition stuff is reasonably relative the original price. Like aHasselblad's always been a like 4-5 stacks new so nice well kept used one go for about a stack+ and same thing with Leica's just there are lots ofcollectable and limited production Leica's. There certainly are cameras that defy that logic, like TLR Rollei's but for the most part I would say mostof the functioning useable more "classic" vintage cameras out there are priced relative to their original cost unless it's a limited edition orrare model. And the models people forgot about or no one's really heard of or weren't made remarkably well or were super produced go for nothing.

But any of the FM's are quite the camera. My first film camera was Nikon FM and I know a kid who has FM-10 it's nice. Nothing remarkable just nothingchinsy about it at all.

If you're using flash, don't be afraid to crank up the ISO.

Thanks for the info... but hey, $50 is better than just having a camera collecting dust in my closet. Money is money

frown.gif

I have the A300, which is pretty much the A200 plus the tilt screen with live-view. Great camera. I just bought the hvl-f42am this Saturday. I coldn'tjustify getting the F58am.

I would recommend a prime lens, either a Sony 50mm F1.4 or a Minola 50mm f1.7 if you want to save some money. That's what I ended up getting.
You can also check out the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8. That might be my next pick up.

u have any pics to post styles .. lets see em

in the mean while Imma post some of the ones I took yesterday ..

Let me know what ya think people - this is my 1st time shooting people out on the streets
