Anybody Ever Use A Ouija Board??? Anything Happen?

Read some of stories on reddit and they all seem a little too well written like a fiction book or something.

With that being said I do believe in this stuff for the most part and will NOT be trying lol

Thats cause it's fake dawg. All of it, from A to Z.

No thanks. Not tryna get popped by no spirit. But it does sound interesting

My take on it is all the prep and everything is part scare tactic and part sensoral deprivation to make you very on edge to the point of hallucinating. But the fact you expect spirits or demons or whatever makes your subconscious manifest into auditory and visual hallucinations. Similar to calling yourself in your dreams or looking in the mirror in your dreams.

Dudes cry fake but too scared to try it lol.

Regardless of what you believe, nobody wants to gamble with opening a can of worms like that.

Still don't got the balls to play with one of these by myself, or w/ anyone for that matter. I'm into conspiracy theory and spritual stuff so I'ma just leave it alone, for now. :nerd:

My roommates got one and did the whole process, bought candles, dark room, etc....I participated but I didn't care, it was all entertainment for me. Dudes even went to the cemetery near my neighborhood to try it there, they got nothing. Its just a toy.

Does make sense. Waking up at 330. Staying up for an hour. In a dark room. Brain playing tricks on you is a possibility

Exactly. Im not acting like im the bastion of knowledge whom is all-knowing. If there's even the slightest chance in Hell this is even remotely accurate im going to do the smart thing and not get jiggy with it.

Never played the game but I do have one experience with the unexplained, and actually it was more of a family experience lol.

This happened more than 22 or 23 years ago one day after school my brother and I were bored waiting for moms to get home so we decide to do the bloody mary thing. Back in those days kids in elementary had this thing where to "summon" ghost was to do the Bloody Mary thing where you throw hot water in the bathroom mirror and say Bloody Mary 5x and turn off the lights and close the bathroom door.  (Candyman just came out)

Well we did it and we instinctively got silent and pretty much scared ********.

We had the hallway light on in our apartment and it looked like someone was walking back and forth because a shadow kept going back and forth from our point of view beneath the door.

I don't remember how much time passed but eventually we hear our mom's voice so we haul *** out of the bathroom to greet her at the front door. She comes in with groceries and an unannounced guest (a woman) that we (my brother and I)  never met, which she has never done.

From our point of view we were happy that she was home and broke the Bloody Mary nonsense that we were doing earlier.

Fast forward about 8 years ago and moms and I were shooting the breeze one day and I told her about that day (about her bringing a stranger home) her eyes got big and she couldn't believe we remembered that. And she proceeded to tell me the the guest was a stranger she met that night at the grocery store and how she felt drawn to her.

She cannot recall how she ends up inviting this woman or never ever seen that woman since that night, or how she got home because she rode with my moms.

And the number she gave my mother was a fake one as she tried to contact her days after.

I told moms that before she got home we did the BM ritual and moms thought I was BS'ing her, my brother confirmed that we did do it that same night.

Really freaked my moms out, she told me at that point in her life she was lost spiritually and raising 2 boys was taking a toll on her faith.

As we were having this convo the hair on the back of our necks was standing up just straight freaking out. Lol

One thing that always bothered me that night was I could never recalled what that woman face looked like, all my brother and I could remember was she had bloodshot eyes and she spoke in a monotone voice but cant recall what conversation we had with her.

TLDR:

22 years ago my brother and I did Bloody Mary on the same night my mother brought a stranger home under unexplained circumstances.

To this day it still brings me chills.

somewhat related:

My uncle is a Pastor who has done missionary work overseas in the unreached parts of 3rd world countries and has experienced unexplained phenemonas.

She stayed for dinner, but we can't remember if she ate or how long she stayed. Think she told my mom she was going to get picked up and just left the crib.

^nawghty, this is what i found

scariest part about this joint is that u do it by yourself...

Hey /r/nosleep, long time no see.

I've been posting bits and pieces of my life here, but I find them a little boring and self-serving (the last one about the juvie incidents was already like 70% made-up, to my shame) so today I'll post a recipe instead. This is not Creepypasta (at least not yet) and I'm writing it from a train in the NYC area.

What I'm about to share with you today is one of the many relatively safe ways in which you can access (not quite enter) a place I call the "Shadowside", and its effectiveness depends on how seriously you take me; your mileage may vary, refer to title.

I won't tell you that you shouldn't be afraid of the Shadowside; chances are you've already seen it after all, and merely think it was just a "recurring dream". I will tell you there is no need to be ignorantly afraid of it, though. There is a difference. Ignorance fuels fear and fear can give that place a lot of juice to run on. You have to be big on preparation if you want to try this. It's like sky diving: if getting it right on your first try is not something you're good at, then this is not for you.

If you do drugs or alcohol the night of the event, you're going to have a bad time. If you're going through some serious issues in your life and are not feeling mentally or spiritually stable, or if you're doing this just to escape, you're going to have a bad time. And if you don't follow my instructions (particularly the multiple backups I'll give you, which trust me, are there for a reason) you're going to really have a bad time.

The name of this game is THE THREE KINGS, btw.

Ingredients:

A very large empty and quiet room, preferably without windows. If windows exist, you need to be able to cover them and ensure total darkness. Basements usually work well, if they're roomy enough.
A pack of candles (you'll only use 1, if all goes well), and a lighter.
A bucket of water and a mug.
A fan.
Two large mirrors (like the one on your dresser. Don't worry, they won't be harmed. Or if they are, it'd be the least of your concerns).
Three chairs.
An alarm clock.
An active cell phone (don't forget to charge the goddamn battery!)
A loved one willing to follow rules and go along with all this madness.
A small toy or dear object from your childhood.
Setup:

Start setup at around 11 PM. Place one chair in the center of the room, facing north (this is important). Place the other two chairs exactly to the left and right, facing your throne. The distance between your throne and that of your queen and fool should be about the length of your arm to each side, more or less. Place the two large mirrors on the queen and fool chairs left and right of you, facing you (and each other). Try your best to have them stand at a 90 degree angle (or else you may get more or less than three kings). If you sit on your throne facing straight ahead (north), you should be able to perceive your own reflection in each of the two mirrors without actually having to turn your head nor your eyes to do so. If you see your own reflection in the corner of your eye, just barely there, then you've done it right.

Place the bucket of water and the mug in front of you, just barely out of reach.

Place the fan behind you, turn it on. Don't set it to maximum power- medium or low is usually enough. Leave it on.

Turn off the lights, leave the door open and go to your bedroom.

Set the candles by the side of the bed, next to a lighter, your alarm clock and your cellphone (leave it charging).

Set your alarm clock for 3:30 AM.

Turn off the lights and sleep while holding your power object, get some rest. Showtime:

Wake up at 3:30 AM with your alarm clock. Turn it off, but don't turn on the light. You have exactly three minutes to light your candle, grab your cellphone, and make your way to the dark room to sit in your throne. You should be seated by 3:33 AM. Don't forget your power object! Check for potential red flags: if your cellphone didn't charge for whatever reason, abort the mission. If the alarm didn't go off exactly at 3:30 AM, abort the mission. If you find the dark room door closed (remember you left it open) abort the mission. If the fan is turned off (you left it on) abort the mission.

(Side note: if you have to abort the mission due to any of the above, leave the house with your loved one. Go to a hotel or something. There's no need to run; you have time to grab a jacket and your keys and what not, but leave. After 6 AM the coast should be clear.)

If all is going as planned, you can proceed and take your throne. DO NOT look directly at either of the two mirrors besides you. DO NOT let the candle go out. The fan is behind you. You must protect the candle with your body, which is standing in between (there's a reason for this; as you'll soon see).

Look straight ahead, at the darkness. Not at the candle, not at the mirrors, just straight ahead. Eagle-eyed readers surely noticed I didn't say during setup which chair was queen and which chair was fool. That's because it's your job to find out. And from their point of view, you are either their queen or their fool, too. Hence three kings.

I won't spoil what happens next. Suffice to say, you won't be alone and if you have questions, you'll get answers. Sometimes in the form of new questions, but hey, that's the story of humanity eh? Just stay put and try not to move. Again, DO NOT look directly at the mirrors, nor the candle. Just straight ahead, trust me. Don't chicken out either; you need to wait until 4:34. By 4:34 it's all over. It's okay to tremble a little bit, just try not to. Not because it affects the ritual or anything -it's just a ***** thing to do while in polite company.

Did I mention not to let the candle go out? That's what the fan is for. You're protecting the candle with your body, but if your body were to be suddenly moved then the fan would turn off the candle. That's backup number 1. Your loved one is backup number 2: at 4:34 she has to come in the room and call your name. If that won't work, she has to call your cellphone. If that won't work, she has the glass of water and the bucket. She can't touch you though -that's a newbie mistake. Backup number 3 is your item of power, the toy, or locket or whatever object of strength you brought along for the ride. It'll show you the way if SHTF.

Multiple back ups. You gotta be like a boy scout if you do these things. If you half-*** it, half-*** it all the way so that it won't work. Worst you can do is take it seriously enough for it to work and not seriously enough to be prepared for the consequences.

If in doubt, refer to title.

I wonder what happens if you had to abort but stayed home as opposed to leaving your house until 6AM? Crazy *** **** right there but no way I'm doing this!

My aunt told me this story wen I was little....
She said her and 3 of her friends were playin with one and it moved around ...supposedly if u contact a spirit you have to ask them to leave.

She said wen they asked it to leave it said "no"

The girl whos house they were using it at went crazy and eventually killed herself.

Alright this here is my story...
Just a little background, I'm not religious at all, anti theistic, and open to what the world shows me..

Now if this was a coincidence, it has to be the most perfectly timed coincidence of all time..

So I was at a friends house (total of 4 people, including a 4 year old girl who was asleep)

Other friend tho (from Mex) of course had all types of stories of how its real and had the typical stories and what not..

Turns out dude had a quija in his car and we all agreed we would play when the time cleared 2 am or something like that

The girl and I didn't really believe stories or the things people said to us, so it was whatever
So im assuming thats why she had no beef with her 4yo being in the bedroom by the living room where we were at

So son brings it in, we set candles around, including by the board

Son wasn't really dropping knowledge(quiet dude) on how to start so we just all put our hands on the planchet and asked said hello..
We did that for around 2 min and cracked jokes on how this wasn't real ( while dude kept saying nah don't play around)

Then the girl says "Lets see if there's even a spirit that wants to play" or something to that nature

So we all put hands on and the girl asks " Do any spirits out there wanna play?"

I swear to you, as soon as she finished that sentence, we heard immediate crying coming from the room at which little girl stormed out
We were all like :wow:

Girl put her daughter back to sleep, and for some messed up reason we kept trying
Nothing tho

Some other girl arrived a little later who had a history with ouija's and has a kind of "dark vibe" to her..
This chick is usually down for whatever/ has had a lot happen, but for some reason she didn't want to play
Her whole vibe/denial made the scene creepy/ straight from a movie
saying "no, not right" etc

We didn't tell her nothing but when we did she was just like nah... y'all are wildin..
We eventually tried some more times, but nothing each time..

The experience most def spooked me
It was like whatever ( if anything) was with "us", didn't want that little girl to be a part of that..
Like it was desperately trying to stop us, from the first question...

how does this story validate anything? You didn't get any answers, just a 4 year-old crying.

It didnt bro, heck im still a non believer

but you gotta admit, a sleeping 4yo storming out of bed at 2 am ish
after asking if any spirits out there?

Mom said that wasn't common so I just take it as it is, creepy..

Three kings explanation taken from reddit....

The whole ritual is a psychological experiment where parts of your subconscious are activated. To make this work the rules are necessary to provide a clear and doubtless string of events. When arriving at the chair in the dark and sitting down several things happen which influences our brains. The fan is giving a steady sound of white noise which creates a "nice background sound for the brain". This increases any sort of thoughts a little. Sitting and staring into the dark is boring for our brain so it will start to make up it's own **** to keep itself occupied. The flickering light of the candle creates dancing shadows in the mirrors which is fuel for our brain to create images. Fuelled by the white noise creating fan, the bored staring and the flickering light and the strict rules not to do anything else than sitting there you will drift into a meditative state where you will experience strange things. Having your safe item and a buddy as a backup is for keeping you comfortable and to make sure you will awake. Doing this alone would keep you longer in this state until you wake up on your own.

While this all seems plausible I still wouldn't try

On another note,

I feel like these type of things happen when people are at their lowest.  Or just feel lost and alone. Spirits, demons, or w.e reveal themselves because they know that certain person is going through though times. The person will either think they are going crazy or they have no one in their life to tell.
