"the t shirt cost/quality ratio is so damn non existent"

i do not think i have ever overpaid for a t shirt.
Some of my favorite items of clothing are t shirts that i've purchased from all kinds of different places.
I do like the nike shirts, and i see quite a few people wearing them all the time, but for me perosnally, if there is going to be something i'm representing on my t shirt, like a player represents his team, it has to be more profound in meaning toward my life. Five years ago of course you could catch me in Enyce, Roc, Coogi, Nike etc tees, but not these days. I do have plenty of band ts however, because i love music, and different bands represents different times/memories in my life. And i also have plenty of retro sports tees, (south only) because i have always loved southern football.
the cost to quality ratio on tees from the mall may be non existent, im not so sure because i rarely shop at the mall, but the cost to sentimentality ratio on the tees i own that have survived countless closet downsizings is well worth it.

BUT........

i am a white t CONNOISSEUR. To me if im rocking a hat, some polo shorts, and some all red deions, a graphic shirt would be a little too much. To me (to me)
so the white t kind of neutralizes the whole fit. but its kind of a double edged sword, because if you wear a white t, some jeans, and some royal foams, all the attention is going to be on the foams of course.

I have been through thousands of white tees from hundreds of brands, and in my personal opinion............................................................

J crews worn in t is the phantom of white tees. period.

Im a hanes guy though and they make a couple of different white tees.

the reggie white tee is the cheapest and that is the kind that rip easy when somebody grabs you playin 3 on 3

above that hanes makes a comfort soft t which is my go to white t. Its still thin, but a little thicker than the cheap ones.
the length is perfect, and its an excellent throw away t. Very comfortable in the summer.

above that, hanes makes another t, i cannot remember the name at the moment, but its X-something. Its great, but for some reason it does not have the perfect length as the previous mentioned t. It also has some kind of alien technology that cools when its hot. i would recommend this t.

banana republic is great for black ts. and of course, you have the hood ts at the indian gas station. I buy these when im just chillin round my way wit my peoples.
the thickness on these ts is probably the thickest of all the ts i have encountered, but there is always one huge problem i have with these.
the collar is too tight, and the rim around the collar is extra thick. and also if you go to the club in these, or smoke, or are around people who smoke, or go to subway, the thickness of these ts will sop most smells up like a biscuit do gravy.

what i do however, since its hotter than hell where i live, is i buy 8 packs of hanes whites from rugged wharehouse for cheap.
one wear, always creased.

If you play sales properly, you can get high quality plain tees (jcrew etc) for 5-7 bucks, not a bad deal at all. The only time I'll pay 20 for a tee these days is if it's commemorating an event - tournament, vacation etc

lol Ninja I take care of my shirts the same way...I only wash when I need to, which is not that often unless its an under shirt. Cold water+hang dry is the key to preserving the color/print on your stuff. Also use woolite, preferably woolite dark (i just use whatever but this stuff is very gentle on clothes).

kirkland white tees----6 for ~$15.00 at costco---I wish they made a variety, like black tees, v necks, etc

Nautica V- neck black/ white tees--4 or 5 ~$15.00 at marshalls

the kirkland tees are the best. super thick and durable--i have so many that are yellowed, they last forever i really need to donate those.

Gotta go with Hanes but only the Supreme Hanes for the extra $30

If you wear those you are guaranteeeeeeed to get 0% more looks from chicks

Real talk, this past week I've bought bunch of plain/striped tank-tops and tees, all from Target. Their stuff is legit :pimp: .

View media item 447016Ninjahood ready to write a thesis statement on t-shirts.
