This stage of the trial is a reminded of why district attorneys like to use plea deals. If you are a prosecutor, you want to bring up very severe charges and use the threat of major prison time in order to intimidate defendants into avoiding trials and pleading guilty.
With the eyes of the world on him, the DA in this case did what DA's in this situation do, they swing for the fences and seek out a trial on the highest charges possible. They all want to run for higher office and they see it as their chance to put on a show for the voters.
In so doing, they expose themselves to a real trial, where the defense can tell its story. In theory, our criminal justice system is based on a back and forth between advocates for the state and advocates for the defendants. In practice, the courts are rigged and involve judges only hearing the police and prosecutor's side.
When prosecutors over reach and refuse plea deals and/or when defendants are brave and risk a real trial, it is amazing how often the defense is able to take apart the police-DA's hitherto one sided narrative.

Was all the testimony today just describing the fight?
I only saw it this morning, but i'm watching the rundown on TV
seems like a lot of importance is being placed on Zimmerman being beaten up instead of whether or not he actually started it
which was the crux of Rachel Jeantel's testimony that was overshadowed by everything else the last 2 days

The Defense clearly did not have a clinician on their team.
The Medic noted that Zimmerman scored a 15/15 on the Glasgow Coma Scale, she also stated that he complained of "Dizziness". The next day he was evaluated by the Physicians Asst., she noted distress, anxiety, slightly elevated blood pressure, and way elevated resting heart rate 109 bpm, and he also complained on sleep disturbances. Everything listed are signs and symptoms of a concussion including the dizziness. Are we sure he had one? No, he wasnt evaluated for one. The Physicians Asst also did not recommend one. The Defense could have followed up with that as a possibility to put in the minds of the jury.
The Glasgow Coma Scale is pretty valid, though it is mostly used on people with severe traumatic brain injuries and strokes.
One thing I dont understand that hasnt be really mentioned is Trayvon was found face down with a gun shot wound to the front part of his chest. If that is the case, Trayvon would had to of been on top, or else how would he landed face down with hands beneath him with a witness testifying claiming he was not touched? Also if you are on top, why would you be screaming for "help"? Also, the bullet went through Trayvon, ifTrayvon was on the bottom they would have found a ammo round, which was not found.
Gonna be an interesting next week.

Zimmerman moved the body. He said he spread Trayvon's arms out on the grass to see if he had any weapons.

If you got a problem call the cops. You have no authority.

Did Zimmerman say that because the Witness stated today that he saw Zimmerman on the phone 10-20sec after he heard the gunshot. So Zimmerman in 10-20sec turned him over, positioned him, search him for weapons, and called 911 and finished that call in that amount of time? I don't know what was said before the trial started.
This is a ****** case, all of this could of been avoided.

He's essentialy a paranoid herb who just couldn't mind his own business and lost a fight. Why some people think that gives him the right to blast away I'll never understand.
Gun in his possession gave him some big balls. His true nature from everything we've heard is that he is a coward.
With that said, he is gonna be found not guilty.

People are treating the dispatch as if he's a random person. You call them for a reason, so that they can contact authorities and they give you information on how to handle the situation. They've been trained on how to handle several incidents and he said confidently "we don't need you to do that". He said that for a reason, because Zimmerman would've been overstepping his boundaries. People are acting like a pizza Hut delivery boy advised him what to do. The dispatch serves as a liason to the law. He told gz to chill in order to avoid any danger.

If the prosecution know what they're doing, they'll get the charge they're going for.
