R.I.P Trayvon

You are wrong, due to the definition of deadly force.

You can kill someone with your bare hands if they are doing the same with you, but you cannot use a gun. If they are trying to kill you with a weapon, be it a bat, stick, only then can you use a knife or gun, which is considered the use of deadly force with a weapon.

Source? I just read every New York Self-Defense statute and it said nothing about the force continuum.

If you believe your life is in danger, you can use deadly force. Doesn't matter the means. It's not brain surgery. If you're pummeling me with your fist, I can blast away. If you're beating me with a pipe, I can blast away.

His lawyer getting frustrated now. The lady knows what she heard. There's a big difference between a 17 year olds voice and a man's in his late 20's

If you are following somebody in a car and they run

They obviously don't want to fight or create a confrontation

if you continue to follow after they ran anybody with a brain and good sense would feel his life is in danger and try to defend his self

Why is that so hard to comprehend

I feel like the state can easil clear this up...TM even if the photo she saw was the football pic, still had a very similar skinny build. That's not hard to distinguish from GZ if she saw it.

It's the same frustration and range of questions they asked of the last witness (the white lady) in regards to the voice that was heard who they thought it came from.  Both witnesses were inclined to believe it came from a younger person, which would obviously had been Trayvon Martin.

What she say?
she said the bigger dude appeared to be on top....  and she determined who was who based on pictures she saw on the news.

so the Defense is grilling her on which pictures she saw...  and she said she saw a pic of just his upper body... and THEN she said she saw a picture of him in a football jersey lol

son was like 10 years old in that picture...

Its freaking me out defense keeps trying to treat the witness like the jury

They not jurors they can watch tv sign petition talk about the case on facebook or whatever

Its a witness not a juror I don't get it how would social media or any other media influence what they know they saw and witnessed with their very own eyes

It's all about creating perceptions to the jury that the witness is bias towards one side as if they're favoring the victim's side

Some jurors may pay attention to it...some may not

either way, they're going to throw it out there to make it seem like they're bias..whether its true or not

I think they do it just because... lawyers have to try any and everything to get the verdict their client needs..

of course some witnesses are going to be biased or influenced by things they're seen and heard....  Zimmerman's family will testify that he saves kids from burning buildings on the weekends, after he's done volunteering at Big Bros, Big Sisters

What's the respect / answer protocol while being grilled by attorneys under oath?

This old dude is seriously slowing things down to the point of confusion.

I would feel compelled to tell them to stop confusing me. Stop being an &;/.

I understand its a questioning more than a "let me tell you what I saw" sort of thing.

This guy is making me mad. Almost can't watch anymore

Agreed. He's picking it apart to the point where he's confusing the entire court room. I think the judge is sustaining objections from the prosecution just out of spite for his drawn out approach.

Hell yeah.

I'll give his lawyer some credit though, he's doing a decent job with what he has to work with but the witnesses know what they saw or heard, especially the older white lady.
