i think we're selling Detroit short here. They have the a top 3 Eastern conference frontcourt, and, at the very least, decent guardplay. That can take you a long way if Cheeks preaches defense, i.e. Indiana last year.

Who started that "Monta have it all" stuff?

Improper sentence and all lol

WATCH lol

Okay, I got it. You didn't really make that distinction before.

"Scoring ability" isn't helpful to your team without efficiency, however. I'm no Monta Ellis fan. Kobe might take some bad shots but he's still found ways to be efficient over his career.

But Melo shot 45% from the field last season. I understand he took more shots per game then anyone else, but he shot a good %. I wouldn't call that inefficient.

Don't like Jennings as a player but the change of scenery I think will help the kid immensely. I mean.................he really is still a kid. People forget this.

It's comical the amount of disrespect that some people on this forum type behind their computer screens.

Call me crazy but I think Detroit is a great fit for Jennings.

---They have a roster full of extremely young, and potentially very talented players.
.....meaning that he can be looked to as a leader on the team--while knowing that his mistakes won't be too magnified...there's going to be growing pains for other players as well.

---Chauncey Billups, Joe Dumars, Moe Cheeks, & Rasheed Wallace
....all can relate to the plight of a young point guard.  this is an important time in Jennings career--I think that's a great support system to help mold the young man into the leader he needs to become

---Fun, uptempo Basketball
.....one thing no one should be denying is the athletic ability that roster has.  I know if I'm a veteran in the league--i wouldn't be looking forward to: boxing out Drummond, chasing Jennings around, stepping in front of a Josh Smith dunk attempt, or gettting into any altercations

I don't know man.  Considering they basically gave Joe an ultimatum of make the playoffs or look for a new job.  I think he did aiight -- I see a playoff team here...keep em together for 2-3 years--add a couple veterans ...who knows?

I agree.

Detroit not looking too bad

Big Jennings fan....I think this is a good move for him. Now is his time to mature and play up to his potential on a potentially good team.

I just don't think he wanted or cared playing for the bucks.

Doesn't excuse some of his **** play. If he really wanted that big contract for that big market team he should have been working his *** off.

Answer this.

Whose going to have a better statistical year next season; Jennings or Rudy Gay?

And I'm referring to mostly shooting percentages and efficiency. Not just scoring.

Rudy Gay. That eye surgery he just had is going to change the publics entire perception of him. I'm still on Team Rudy Gay.
