smh at you back...

isnt kobe is missing the first few months? that may screw them out of a playoff spot and land them in the lottery.

the wizards got lucky this year. i wouldnt be surprised if the lakers get "lucky" with next years top pick.

and as far as reloading, why not "rebuild" for a season and land the best player since lebron?

One of the most ignorant posts I've seen here in a long time :smh:

Kobe will be back for opening night. You can take that to the bank.Hell even save and quote me on this for the future.

No way in HELL is a player like Kobe's competitive fire is going to allow them to tank. Also the Lakers history as a franchise has been to build their teams through free agency. Which by summer of 2014 they will have a lot of cap space to rebuild the team.

We aren't the Spurs who tanked a season before Duncan came out in the draft.

Quoting for later

"The Warriors are reportedly exploring trade options for David Lee, but they were rebuffed in their offers for Andrea Bargnani and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Lee would have been packaged with Rush in the Aldridge deal, but it's not surprising that their offers were spurned -- Lee is owed $44 million over the next three years, and his defensive shortcomings tend to offset his offensive skills. Lee is currently recovering from hip surgery he had in late May, but he's expected to be ready for training camp."

Why the hell were the W's exploring a Bargs for Lee deal?!

GS learned that they could win a few playoff games w/o David and now they're about to give up on him.

Toronto could have gotten a better deal for Bargnani than that

Such as?

I'm sure Toronto fans are more than happy to just get rid of the guy. They get two smaller contracts (probably will buy out Camby and Novak can be a rotation player) and three picks. That's a great haul for a guy that was essentially useless to the team last season.

On the flip side, being able to play next to a defensive big will do wonders for Bargs.

With the Knicks being restricted from making any significant moves, due to our cap issues.

- We gave away Novak (30 yr old) who's making $9M for the next 3 years. Huge liability if he dont hit 3+ 3PT's. Can't defend, pass, dribble, or rebound
- Marcus Camby is 39 years old. PLayed only 24 games for NYK last season due to injuries. Makes $7M for the next 2 years.
- I believe the 1st rounder, was swapped with Denver, that we're sending to TOR. neither us or DEN would land a high pick by then.
- Then.... we give em two 2nd rounders... Thats 2 second rounders.

-Bargs isn't so good on defense, not a great rebounder. but will play alongside Tyson, and can help spread the floor., is only 27. He didn't wanna play in TOR, and there was issues if he can play with Lowry. He was also injured last season.

- I say Knick has the upper hand in trade
