Nuggets signed JJ Hickson for what reason?

So they can say they did something? Only thing I can figure.

I would have taken Hickson on the Clippers. Not to happy to hear that the forward they currently are negotiating with is Antawn Jamison.

Okay. The Nuggets just signed J.J Hickson to a 3 year deal. Can someone explain why they did that. They need to seriously trade away some of their bigs.

Like Memphis, Denver needs shooting. More importantly, they lost Iguodala for nothing and are they re-signing Brewer?

Hickson is cheap.

Can play 4/5

Before the Arthur trade at the draft Denver didn't have a stretch 4.

Mozgov hasn't signed yet and if he does he won't play that much barring foul trouble. 11th/12th man.

I really don't see the issue.

Bucks agree on a two-year, $6.5M deal with Carlos Delfino, w/ team option for 3rd that could pay him nearly $10M, league sources tell Y!

What about Bynum?

Another solid player goes to an irrelevant team...smh. Every contending team in the league could have used Delfino. And the Nuggets sign their 10th big man while having only like 3 backcourt players. Teams just like spending money for no reason.

Yup

delfino never wanted to leave milwaukee in the first place. he was shocked that he didnt even get an offer last offseason from them and little from around the league. not surprised he went back.

to add depth....no such thing as too much bigs....

They threw $5M a year into 6'9 4/5 combo when they traded for one during the draft. If they wanted a 4th big, it should not cost them $5M. Factor in they have one shooting guard who is a 2nd year player, I'm not exactly sure what they have planned. For the price, its not bad but I would've reacted the same way if Memphis went out and spent more money on a big when we need perimeter help.

I agree with Delfino going to an irrelevant team. Bucks just signing people for no reason. I'm not exactly sure what made Wright want to sign with Portland for 2yrs/$6M when I'm sure he had other offers from contending teams. I know Memphis was looking at him and IMO $3M is a good buy for Wright considering what other shooters are getting in the market.
