OFFICIAL 2013 FANTASY FOOTBALL TALK

/\ far from over.

thats whats great about fantasy football. its the most unpredictable out of all sports. Anybody out there can drop bombs, even Zurlein. Just have fun with it

Thoughts on EJ Manuel down the line? I picked him up just in case my QB1 Luck goes down. No other decent options left on the wire and needed insurance on the bench.

TY Hilton is a free agent in one of my leagues. Colin K is my starting QB and I have Carson P and Dalton on the bench. Should I drop one of them for TY? BTW my receivers are D Thomas, Ftiz, D. Jackson and Cecil Shorts.
Bruh do this now before someone else does.

He's fine for what you need him for. He only has to play one game.

I'm thinking Brady has a shot at a Manning-esque game against the Bills this week. Hoping at least .

I was also just browsing the available free agents in one of my leagues and Le'Veon Bell was sitting there :smh:. Ended up dropping Ryan Broyles for him :smokin.

I passed on Welker Cruz and Amendola in my draft because I have a big feeling they're gonna get hurt this season... I went with my gut hoping it doesn't fail me...

IDK why but I'm really big on Luck this year hoping he dogs

I need CJ2K Brees Foster Julio Jones and L. Miller to do bad... Brees and julio will prob do what they do best the other 3 not sure... hoping Foster breaks his back lol god for bid but you get what I mean.
You're not the only one that is high on Luck. I had him basically as my bench QB last year behind Brady. It was by and large an experiment to see how he does. He didn't do TOO bad. 23 TDs 18 INT 5 Rush TDs 4347 yards 10 fumbles  as a rook. Not bad as a rookie. As he gets more comfortable, he'll get better. I don't think people are paying as much attention to him as they should, but that's ok. He has a 4th quarter comeback ability and is capable of doing it with his feet if need be.

In no way am I saying he's Peyton Manning just to compare rookie stats:

Manning:   26 TD's  28 INTS   0 Rush TDs  3739 yards  3 fumbles

The fumbles worry me but I'm liking Luck's real life and fantasy upside as well.

I need to put in a flex spot...
steve smith
daryl rich
ben tate
thompkins

im leaning on tate by like 85% idk why but I think thats gonna be my move
then again I like thompkins cause who knows who brady gonna throw to besides danny
I'd go with either Daryl or Thompkins since they both start. Smith plays SEA and I wouldn't consider Tate until we get an idea of how the Texans will play him.

Richardson - he is the starter and running backs are safer play usually plus smith is playing the Seahawks.

i hope peyton manning keeps up with this cuz my starting rbs are bradshaw and ivory :smh: :x :rolleyes ... but then again its ppr and i do have julio jones, and calvin johnson... and amendola

Please tell me you did this.

I NEVER understood the logic of owning 3 QB's. Ever.

There's probably gonna be a game or 2 where he's gonna look like he might ball out this year, but don't let that fool you. He's a poor man's Josh Freeman. And thats pretty bad.

Man, Tate looks like a good bet this week, but that's taking a risk on how many carries he's gonna get. If you want risk from that list, you go with Thompkins. If you want kinda "sure" take D Rich.
Garçon @ eagles
Daryl Richardson @ Cards
Thompkins @ Bills

Not sure which to do for a flex.

JUst know that all 3 are good options. That Eagle/Skins game is gonna be a shootout. NE is putting up 45 on the Bills. I would go Thompkins here. And I basically broke it down to this:

RG3 coming back from injury and us not knowing how he's gonna be

vs

Brady being Brady

Thinking about trading Amendola coupled with either Bryce Brown or Christian Micheal in a 12 team, standard scoring and non ppr league. I also own (RBs) TRich, Reggie Bush, DRich, Montee and (WRs) Julio Jones, Mike Williams, Emanuel Sanders. I could use more depth at WR.

I'm obviously going to target the Shady & Lynch owners:

The Lynch owner is loaded at WR with Victor Cruz, Vincent Jackson, James Jones, Lance Moore & Malcom Floyd. What if I offer Amendola/Christian Michael for James Jones/Lance Moore type of deal? After Lynch at RB he only has Ridley and Michael Bush.

The Shady owner is a tough one. He has (RBs) Foster, Lamar Miller, Lawfirm, Knowshon and (WRs) Roddy, Mike Wallace, Colston, Britt and Michael Floyd. Maybe give Amendola/Bryce and get Mike Wallace/Not sure??

Advice welcomed, thanks!

Greg Olsen vs Seahawks or Sudfeld vs Bills

And

Tavon Austin vs Cardinals or James Jones vs 49ers

Dude is offering me Megatron for Dez straight up. Sounds like a no brainer but I really think Dez can have a bigger year this year. What does NT think

^ calvin johnson EASILY..

teams at least have to respect and account for bush, which is alot more than you can say for anyone they've had before (should bprobably say regularly.. since best had the talent)

Keep Dez .. Maybe I'm bias but he's going to put up better number than Megatron this year.
Totally disagree w/ you Captain, no disrespect. It's safe to say Detroit offense is and should rank higher than Cowboys offense last year and will be this year. Megatron = proven.  Dez Bryant = predict to have great year (gambling) + injury prone.

Put it this way, he's trading you a better draft pick position for a crappy one.  Let's say typically you would pick Megatron at #11. If you were at #11 pick, would you pick Megatron or Bryant?

If you have benjis on this league, I rather play safe and take Megatron (heck, that's a steal).  If you play for fun, then what ever float your boat.  I'm sure the one traded you is either a Cowboys fan or new to the fantasy.

It's cool which is why I said it's probably because I'm bias  ..

Dez stayed healthy for most of the season and even played thru his injuries. You finally have a healthy Miles Austin, a proven Jason Witten, a run game that will be relied on heavy, and an upcoming WR in T.Williams. I didn't even mention Beasley or Hanna. What I'm saying is the Cowboys have alot of options, you can't double team Dez. Leave him one on one with any corner outside of Pat Peterson and he's going to have a field day.

The Lions have Reggie Bush but that still won't stop teams from triple teaming Megatron until another WR steps up, maybe Broyles will.

IMO it's a win-win either way but if I have to give one a slight edge it would be Dez.
