He has too much power and not enough to really offer as far as building a compelling story.

This movie was the epitome of "meh."
Pretty much Fast & Furious with superheroes. Fun to stare at but about as deep as a puddle.
Jesse Eisenberg played a great Riddler tho.

Ben surprised me... He was a solid Batman.
Overall I liked the movie. Wasnt blown away or anything tho.
think it had some of the same flaws as Man of Steel. Could have had a little more comedy to help fill in the actionless parts of the film tho.

The director has final say, but I wholeheartedly agree, Goyer needs to go and Terrio shouldn't get a pass.

His comments indicate that this has been a struggle for him, which is understandable given his only major work was Argo.
They really need to add to the "brain trust" and get more input from other guys like Dini/Timm/Johns.

The movie was fine to me outside of Lex until they actually started fighting.
This movie tried to serve too many masters.
This movie is still better than Iron Man 2 or 3 though.

I think for all of this movies flaws the blame lies on the editors. The general consensus with those who didn't like the film had the same complaint ( and I've read most of them) : bad editing and pacing issues. It wasn't an issue for me, but I could see how others wouldn't agree. I can only fault Zach to an extent. Because his casting choices were risky, bit they paid off in the end. And from a performance standpoint, everyone's performance was solid ( especially Ben Affleck)

I'll wait and see what Terrio does on his won with JL1 before judging his work.

Pretty easy to understand when you're not being difficult just for the sake of it. Should've added "as much". Poor movie, but there were cool scenes and I see the potential. There were no moments that gave me chills like other movies i've been waiting 20 yrs to see. This could've been done so much better, but i'm still in for future movies.

Still speculation but if I were to guess, they're just trying to find time for Affleck to do the movie (direct and star) but he's been busy with his other projects and then they're going to start filming JL in a week or two.
