2. He's batman, he'll find out
I have a feeling that's how it'll be if it ends up being that way

Dawn of Justice?!?

I hope they prove me wrong but I have a feeling this movie is going to set back Ben's career again...

so what's the "v" stand for?
vs is versus...
v is...?

AMC Movie Talk’s John Campea has the most logical explanation for what the title really means, and it should hold fans over a bit until we get an official comment from Zack Snyder. Here’s what Campea had to say about the title on AMC Movie Talk:

I have a legal background. The whole “v” thing, that is an adversarial thing in courts. When you go to court and you’re reading old court cases it’s “Smith v California”. The first name in the title of a court case is the grieving party. It’s the one bringing the grievance. The one saying the first party has a problem with the second party. And that’s the legal way that that’s set up. So when I look at that title, it makes sense that they left the “s” out of the “v” [in "vs."]. Now it makes sense to me. Batman is the one coming after Superman in this film. I have no doubt about that.

what is this... a court movie?!
just leave it as VS... most people won't know why it's just a V
NOW i do know why... but try telling hundreds... if not thousands -possibly millions of others that

Eh, at the end of the day, it's just a title. Movie just has to deliver and that is all that matters.

Most just consider the v = versus anyways, really not a big deal to me and really surprised its getting a lot of flack.

I mean it could have been a lot worse, remember the domains WB registered before?

“Man of Steel Battle the Knight”, “Man of Steel Beyond Darkness”, “Man of Steel Black of Knight”, “Man of Steel Darkness Falls”, “Man of Steel Knight Falls”, “Man of Steel Shadow of the Night”, “Man of Steel The Blackest Hour”, and “Man of Steel The Darkness Within”.

Shorter variations of the names were also registered like, “Battle the Knight”, “Black of Knight”, “Knight Falls”, and “The Blackest Hour”.

So with Batman being the most popular superhero nowadays and also having the most success franchise to date pretty much no matter how you write him he's going to be the "fan favorite" just off of name recognition and recent relevancy, right?

I'm trying to see how Superman doesn't come off as the "heel" in this situation  idk this premise gets weirder and weirder the more I think about it.

I'm trying not to pass judgement too early since the film is two years away but they're making it hard...

Why dont y'all like the sub title? Age of ultron isn't any much better
ehh AoU isnt's not that bad..
Captain America: The First Avenger was a terrible subtitle imo and this is basically on par with that.. gives off "in-betweenquel" vibes which never really go over well

Age of Ultron, Age of Apocalypse, Days of Futures Past, etc... are all straight from the comics so it sounds good. Maybe people were already acclimated due to it?

People will get used to it eventually but I do think they should have just put "Batman v Superman" and leave out the other name then maybe if there is another Batman v Superman down the line then add a subtitle.

I'm not sold on the court ****. I mean it's w/e either way but to think they didn't even register MOS: World's Finest :smh: or MOS: Batman v Superman.

It's probably already registered, like those are probably registered as separate names like just "Worlds Finest" and "Batman v Superman". Seems like something DC already have registered a long time ago so no one uses them.

Well I think there's a difference registering it for a book (comics) and registering it for a movie but I may be wrong about how the trademarking rules go.

Those name they registered were for a website domain name, not movie titles but people assumed one of it was going to be a possible movie title. WB likely already has Batman v Superman and Worlds Finest registered in that regard.

You guys are really complaining about "Batman v Superman" instead of it being "Batman vs Superman" or "Superman vs Batman". Seriously?

Nobody is complaining about that. Just making fun of and ******** on the explanation for the v. instead of vs. Like that's super irrelevant when it comes to the other criticisms about the title.

Something I just thought of. There will have been a bunch of films involving teams by the time JL comes out.

Avengers, First Class & Days Of Future Past, Guardians, Fantastic Four, Avengers 2, another X-Men film, and the Spidey Sinister 6 film. Another thing is that Marvel will use Thanos twice, and Apocalypse will come. They gon have to come up with something real real special

Probably make them fight Darkseid and his Apokolips army. If they were smart. I mean this for the JL movie not the JL movie not being called a JL movie

I actually don't think the Legion of Doom would be enough of a big threat. That's just bad guys they've beaten before teaming up.

Hope it's not Darkseid. Granny Goodness and other characters from Apokolips wouldn't look good in live action IMO.
