DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

I thought the issue of not killing was always a batman thing. Looking back it seems like a Superman thing too. Or even a general thing for most heroes.
is it a DC thing? i see marvel heros killing bad guys left and right

While they don't kill all I hear from DC comic fans nowadays is that it's all gloom and doom in the DC universe. So while those two main guys aren't killing yet there's a lot of death and destruction. Now Marvel has always had that to some degree so I guess there's no reason to complain. As far as not killing other Marvel guys like Spidey have that (for a while he was on a nobody dies on my watch tear after a handful of ppl died around him) but it's not as stern and repeated as much.

Not in Marvel. Despite trying not to kill they all do. Some more than others.

Marvel doesnt follow that ******ed logic of "This guy will kill 4,000 by the end of the day if we don't stop him. But let's try to bring him in cuffs. That'll go well"

It means absolutely nothing for members of the X-Force (current and former) to kill. Even children. I dont read Thunderbolts but I imagine many of their current and former members kill with ease too.

couldnt find the panels where wolverine attempts to kill wiccan. Wolverine isnt even secretive about it. Psylocke for the most part keeps her killcount known to few people. When it comes down to it there is not a single Marvel character that wont kill. All that "I am a hero above killing" talk is trash over at Marvel

Hell the only reason many Marvel charcters don't kill is plot convienience. Cable sends Bishop to the future with a broken time machine so he doesnt have to kill him because bishop is far too important to die.

Yeah I was going to add that in Marvel films it doesn't seem to be an issue. They face hordes of enemies in Avengers and Thor 2 and eliminate them without a thought.

Interesting if they try to make the cw tv shows connected to the movies coming out. Arrow is and has the feel of a low budget show.

When Thor killed one of the builders in the recent Infinity event the rest of the Avengers, as well as many sentient planets in the Marvel universe, praised him for it. And as far as big 2 comics are concerned it was a pretty gruesome death too. Thor threw his hammer through the nearest sun, summoned it back, and gutted the builder. Hell in the precursor to this event the New Avengers were blowing up entire planets. I feel like if it were DC somehow, someway, both planets would have survived.

Warner Bros. registered several domain names earlier this week that could hint at official titles that're being considered for the Zack Snyder-directed film.

“Man of Steel Battle the Knight”
“Man of Steel Beyond Darkness”
“Man of Steel Black of Knight”
“Man of Steel Darkness Falls”
“Man of Steel Knight Falls”
“Man of Steel Shadow of the Night”
“Man of Steel The Blackest Hour”
“Man of Steel The Darknness Within”

:x :smh:  Why must "Man of Steel" be included in the title?

Youtube comment from the video above

"I have an idea of how a Batman franchise could be:
- First movie: Origins of Batman, Gordon and Joker. He will fight criminals like Penguin, Black Mask and a mercenary called Slade Willson.
- Second movie: Almost totally based on "The long Halloween", "Batman: Year two" and "Dark Victory". Also tells the story of Catwoman and Two- Face.
- Third movie: Based con "Robin: Year one" (Origin of **** Grayson). Batman and him fights Two- Face. At the end, Robin gets fired because he disobeyed Batman and tried to fight Harvey by his own.
- Fourth movie: Batman has a new Robin (Jason Todd), who gets kidnaped by the Joker. Also, Barbara Gordon appears on this movie, either as Batgirl or just a girl intrested in Batman who helps him, i don't know. At the end, Jason its killed, Batman retires and Joker have the last laugh.
- Final movie: After ten years of retirement, Batman returns. The movie will be based on "The Dark Knight returns" but instead of the Mutant Leader, Bane will be the first enemy to fight and instead of Carrie Kelley, Tim Drake will be the third Robin. Yeah, Bane will break Batman, got saved by Drake and returning to beat Bane in a mud pit saying "You don't get it, boy... this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table.
And I'm the surgeon. ". But before that, Bane stars a war, setting free all the Arkham and Black Gate prisioners. "No man's land", "Knightfall", "Dark Knight Returns" and "The Killing Joke"... wait, "TKJ"??? Yes! In "TDKR", Batman fights the Joker for the last time.... and so it will be. Joker kidnaps Gordon and shots Barbara! At the end, Joker dies. Finally, Batman fights Superman as in "TDKR", fake his dead and trains, together with Tim and **** an army: The sons of Batman."

They probably just want to stick to the man of steel branding. Those domain names are corny.

I would hope that they could at least come up with a good title (Worlds finest, just make it easy on yourself WB/DC)

i doubt they will go with Worlds Finest cuz outside of comic book folks it has no relation to Batman or Superman

and yea those domain names suck.

the only one that is remotely ok is Man of Steel: Knightfall

this is my most anticipated movie over the next 2 years

I think most knows the "Worlds Finest" moniker and since they'll likely end the film with the two being friends or a team, it works as a title.

Also to be fair, i think those domain names are just being registered to make sure no one uses them or something. Likely just the domain name with the MoS on it as the name w/o MoS on it is likely registered by WB/DC already. They're just trying to cover all fronts, at least I hope that is the sole purpose of those names.

Who would want to use those lame names though?

I mean seriously "Man of Steel Black of Knight"???! :x That **** don't even read right. I mean are they targeting the lowliest of low startups that would try to make money off this?

Usually when I see this done it's for a nickname of the character, a golden age title of a comic, and names of classic/memorable stories.

The same WB poducer who confirmed (or mentioned) Robin/Nightwing and BatDrones also tweeted WW and Doomsday being in the film?

Need to talk to some people tnite about #doomsday in #BatmanvsSuperman

Well at least I know the movie will look good and have action at the very least.

I'm not gonna bother wrapping my head around all those characters at this point. I figure most will be cameos cuz too much involvement takes away from this being a Supes movie featuring Batman. I dont' see how Doomsday could be the main villain, so after credits scene or something maybe (I also heard Darkseid was gonna show up in this).

I don't want Doomsdah to be in MOS 2. Not while Batman is in it, a Superman/Doomsday film should be the series ending, because it opens up a lot of possibilities. What use would Bats have in a doomsday fight anyway? Wonderwoman I am fine with though. Might as well call this movie the trinity.

I don't want Doomsday or Lex Luthor either.

I'd rather see someone like Metallo or Brainiac.
