DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - Chapter ONE: Gods & Monsters

^ Speaking of which, Green Arrow's not gonna be in JL, right?

I remember Amell being super salty about this.

He was salty they didn't grab the talent from TV instead of casting new people. I mean I get it from both sides.

Somewhere in the dark delusional part of my mind, I think they are going to use them in the future if they do a Crisis on Infinite Earths movie....

It's possible. They've confirmed that the TV verse and the Cinematic verse take place in a contained multiverse

Amell is such a flat actor. Not good for movies at all. Not to be confused with Amel, who is awesome.

He just wanted that paycheck. I'm surprised how little these superheroes make. Robert and Ben must be balling though.

Actors really be on instagram thirst trapping about their potential Marvel/DC roles :x
Been like that since twitter was a thing.

Wouldn't it be smarter to have the studio announce it rather than the actor?

What happens when he doesn't get the role? Doesn't that look bad on him? Or is the temporary publicity good enough?
PPL will forget these nobody names. It's not just temporary publicity.

The idea is lie about being in a movie universe and see if there's big enough fan reaction. If it is then the studio actually contacts you for talks. It doesn't always work for most but it got Vin Diesel some future role and in the mean time he voiced Groot. Keep in mind I feel it worked for Vin cuz he was already a bigger name and on his way to be bigger cuz of FF.

Sounds like good pr.

Regardless, I knew for a while Batffleck would do the role justice. The solo Bat films were all but confirmed.

Anyway I hope DC/WB are looking at FOX right as an example of what not to do with their planned franchises. I mainly mean that for Aquaman, Flash, GL corps, and the alleged Cyborg movie.

I know marvel held an AoU screening a while before the movie was released for the execs, others directors etc to give notes and whatnot.

This seems like the same thing after actually reading the article lol. Headline had me thinking they were test screening it in Russia or something

Probably a private screening for marketing and potential sponsors/investors?

Quick question, has Power Season 2 been good?

Been meaning to ask in the power thread but don't wanna be spoiled lol

I have no idea. Never watched that show. I just remember hardwick from miracle at sanna ana and kick ***

Man of Steel got an ovation when i saw it in theaters

I don't see MoS as ovation worthy because the original intent was to do a Nolan-esque Superman trilogy as opposed to the DC extended universe we see now. So there's nothing about the movie that creates this idea of a wider world.

I expect BvS to be amazing but MoS was a missed opportunity as the first installment in a shared universe
