I love McAdams, but she wouldn't be able to magically make Lois Lane a well written character.

amy adams has looked great in movies after man of steel
put any actress in that role and they still wont be able to fix the writing which is the main problem with the character.
lois lane is a respected journalist, i dont see why people except every female role to first and foremost be "sex symbol"

Henry Cavil's career is heavily dependent on him continuing to be an exceptionally handsome guy.
