it may or may not be true. but word is going around saying they will be in production, might just be a big rumor but I'm really hoping it's true.

Stopped by Supreme in Daikanyama (fancy boutique-heavy area near Shibuya) and the guy was like "I have no idea when we'll get it.

Luckily, I was able to Google up a link to watch it. I don't think I'm allowed to post the link, but if you can use a search engine, you'll find it.

Kinda skipped around through it and some parts were pretty good. I'll add more thoughts after I've sat down and watched it with my full attention.

Anthony Poppalardo keeps getting worse and worse at skating! Hard to believe he was so technical back in the day. He should just quit and try do woodworking full time instead.

Here's a bunch of gifs that someone on the SLAP forum posted here and here

Was pretty amazed to see new Paulo Diaz footage.

Not sold on the whole "tucked in t-shirt and high water pants" look some guys are sporting. However, as far as "Team Handsome" goes, I definitely prefer Dylan Rieder over Alex Olson. Olson seems like he might be on his way to going the same route as Muska did.

I skipped through the video and it seems good, I'll watch it tomorrow before my session.

After reading this old interview on how Pappalardo "got screwed over" by Converse, I kind of feel bad for him, but not too much. Sucks that he didn't get paid for his shoe, but it also sounds like he wasn't even skating the entire time.

I was kind of disappointed in his Fully Flared part when I first saw it, but in hindsight it was pretty good, despite knowing how technical he used to be back when he was on Alien.

At the same time, I can't feel too bad for someone who just kind of went off and made benches instead of skating while expecting his sponsors to keep paying him enough money to live in New York. Sadly, "cherry" was not to be his comeback video. He did a boardslide in a knee-high fountain, a taildrop to 50-50 on a slide, and a ride-on 50-50 between two sidewalks. Did I miss anything? Gonz had way more footage and he's like 50 years old!

On the topic of people who actually had a decent amount of footage, someone edited all of Dylan's footage together. Strobeck already posted a comment asking the uploader to remove it. It's already too late, this might be even "worse" than when Fully Flared (aka Fully Filefront-ed) came out a few years ago.

Kind of hating the random "artsy" footage that would pop up on the screen in some parts. Random girl smoking during Dylan's part, girls kissing the canvas to make a painting while DIll and Gonz skating the bank to rail was off in a little corner of the screen, unnecessarily long shots of young kids, especially when they were shirtless, etc. Was Strobeck trying to tell us something about himself, or is that supposed to be artsy now?

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Pappalardo.  Maybe it's the fact that everyone told me I looked like him growing up, maybe it's the fact that I identified with his Epicly Later'd episodes, maybe it's the fact that he was the first pro I ever met.  I've just always loved the way he skates.  He's never been the most technical, never been the most gnarly, but everything he put out in his prime (and in Fully Flared) was quality footage. None of his tricks were questionable, his style was always on point, and his spot selection was great.  I can honestly say out all of Fully Flared, his part is the only one I go back to and watch again.  Might not have been his most technically impressive footage, but everything he does just looks good.  It's the same reason I love Gino Iannucci so much.  Maybe it's some subconscious bit of Long Island pride, but they seem to share the same approach/philosophy to skating.

I might have actually been more psyched on that video of skating in Iran than I was on cherry. Showed a lot of spots I've never seen before and, as evidenced by the guy making decks in his own workshop, Iranian skaters do whatever they have to do to skate.

Saw this clip and thought it was pretty cool in that Gou Miyagi sort of way. Came to mind after seeing those nose stall to crooked grinds.

Since Gino got mentioned, I might as well post some clips.

101 - Snuff (1993)

Chocolate - The Chocolate Tour (1999)

Girl - Yeah Right (2003)

Girl/Chocolate - Pretty Sweet (2013) remix by Brick Harbor since I can't find the original clips on YouTube right now.

excited to shoot/film this dude.. really crazy on the ledges. red bull will be bringing him over for a skate tour/skate comp and i think this is a first over here where a company brings a pro/am to skate.

He'll be here for a good 5 days and hopefully we get some good footage

Bleh. Could care less. How many more griptape companies can the industry support? So many products are only distinguishable by their teams!

Is it just me or are skateboard company names getting worse and worse? All I need, Ramshackle, MADE...

In other news, Dylan Rieder is off Alien and on Dill/AVE's company now. Hopefully, there's a "welcome to the team" video part being worked on now.

^ That was the best BATB I think I've ever watched. The finals from the Goofy/Regs season was good too.

How many people get sponsored by companies? I see,so many people claiming they are sponsored is it really common?

this.

and agree with the name, FA and 3D sound lame to me. Tired is the only cool one I dig.

a lot, it depends if the skater is marketable.

I dont know what its like these days, but back in the late 90s to mid 2000s several of my good friends were sponsored.  They were obviously amateurs, but it all started out with the local skate shop.  The skate shop sponsored them and then a couple of them picked up sponsorships from the distributors (deluxe, tum yeto, etc.).  They didnt get crazy amounts of stuff like rob dyrdek or any of the pros, obviously.  But they did get a couple boxes a month of shoes, decks, trucks, wheels, clothes, stickers, etc.  And the skate shop was always hooking them up too.  So i think that a lot of people are sponsored, but there are many different levels of sponsorship.

As far as levels of sponsorship go, with the top one being where they're actually getting product from the company, being listed on the company's website or whatever, and possibly going on trips or getting ads and video parts. I think being on flow is below that since "everyone knows" they're getting product, but nothing official was announced yet. When a rep hooks someone up that's sort of a form of sponsorship, if they're consistently getting product IMO. But then again, sometimes it's more like a homie hookup. The only people I ever saw skating Globes were because their friend was the rep and gave them the shoes.

Bottom line: a lotta kids like to claim being sponsored since it's a status symbol. If you sense they're lying, you could always keep asking questions until the truth comes out, or ask them to do something that someone who is sponsored should be able to do. There's a lot of BS companies sponsoring people now that skateboarding is so big too.

The post above me was while I was writing this post so don't trip out.
