Ugh....okay. But let's add Big Boi, Andre, Bun B and Scarface for safe measure.

He's certainly right there with the rest of the down south classics for me. I think some of us would like to see him change it up and get off the car talk, but at the same time, dude isn't Andre 3000 or Big Boi, I can't see him doing something out of character just to appease to a different audience. He is who he is at this point. He's a great lyricist and when he goes that route, it's going to be over soulful country tunes. He's not going to make a pop record, nor is he gonna be on some super R&B jam.

Personally, I feel like dude's first three tapes were certified classics. The album did nothing for me, nor did his last project really. In all honesty, I feel like he peaked at Return of 4Eva. I played that album for 2 solid years, really heavy that first year. It was just so well rounded, well put together. The beats JAMMED. Time Machine? Nothing was &*%$#%$ with that. Everything was crispy man. I'd love to see homie get back to that confidence. I think he may have lost it a bit with the last two releases.

Time will tell.

End of the day though, K.R.I.T is better than your favorite artist.

I'll say one thing KRIT has done from listening to his songs and then just the instrumentals.

KRIT has mastered using his verses/hooks as the missing instruments in his music. His songs often sound so complete and great while listening to the instrumentals I feel like they are always missing something and that's KRIT. It's a hard task to master and he has done it

....y'all trippin

if he surpasses Outkast he would be one of the greats of ALL TIME

so by that logic y'all saying he could go down as one of the best southern rappers

means he could be in the running for the goat......chill out

Man exactly.

The word G.O.A.T is being thrown around like its a Pro Bowl nomination. G.O.A.T means HALL OF FAME. Not just HALL OF FAME but better than all of the hall of famer's ..G.O.A.T means 10's of millions of records sold.  A household name. #1 albums.. Classic videos.. classic albums. Selling out Madison Square type venues, at your hottest you can demand 100k a verse. Being in the game over a decade..Classic features

You can't be the G.O.A.T and be an underground artist. There is nothing KRIT can do to ever be considered the G.O.A.T of the South. He's a great artist but cmon son

i don't mess with outkast, so he's already surpassed them IMO. i respect their accomplishments and longevity, but i can't rock with musically.

5 albums in, i already call KRIT a legend. in 2013

embark upon me, brethren.

He defiantly does have the skills to be, but his debut album was underwhelming. In Krizzle standards.

songs like Bombs Over Baghdad, Ghetto Muzik, Hey Ya (off of the top of my head) don't do it for me. these songs don't make me want to listen to an outkast album. is Elevators dope? absolutely. do they have other good songs? of course. but overall, i'm not feeling their sound.

i jam wayyyyy more KRIT than anyone else right now. on KWH, he made me want to throw bows on Just Touched Down. i want to drive across the country to Moon and Stars. and Something is classic. dope sample, bars and arrangement.

"when i was at my worst my girl found time to leave me.
to broke to give a F though. my prior relationships got me like 'what up ***"
^ these are real life lines.

and that's just off his first album (i call it an album). return of 4eva is dope. 4 eva in a day is a classic to me. the official album was good and his last tape was very good as well.

in my view, KRIT is already a legend.

Exactly. KRIT's album was underwhelming because its was KRIT. If his previous work hadn't been so stellar, his album would've been appreciated a lot more.

Kinda like when LeBron drops 25, 8 and 5. People be like "he had a subpar game"

Some things just aren't really up for debate though.  Like if you respect 'Kast's accomplishments and longevity, there's not a single way you can throw K.R.I.T. above them in the GOAT category, IMO.

Can you say you feel his music more than Outkast's?  Of course.  And that isn't something up for debate b/c we're all entitled to our musical preferences.

But saying he's surpassed them already?  Laughable.  If you asked K.R.I.T. himself, he'd probably tell you the same.

That's like me saying that J. Cole has surpassed Jay b/c I don't really mess with Jay like that.  Doesn't even make sense.

i don't mess w/ KRIT so he's the worst rapper...surpassed by everybody i do mess w/

....makes no sense right?

I never said they were wack, I just don't mess with them.

"These are just my thoughts"

Inb4 riots but Young Jeezy is the greatest down south rapper. He embodies all that the south is. Come at me bros

You must have never been to the south...

Krit is my dude man.I don't want to say if he can go down as the GOAT anything. I've come to realize that type of stuff doesn't matter to me like it did when I was younger.

I just hope the dude continues to make music that I enjoy listening to and can relate to. **** titles and all that extra stuff that comes with it. Thats how dudes get caught up in the wrong ****. Start making doo doo tracks trying to hold onto some "hottest ***** out" title.

And **** that whole "stop talking about cars" nonsense. Miss me with that. I need Krizzle to keep that **** up. Thats what makes him so nice man. You get your Rich Dad Poor Dad, Boobie Miles, Serve This Royalty, etc etc. But along with it you get Money on the Floor, My Trunk, Me and My Old School, etc etc.

If he stops doing that, he stops being KRIT. Thats a huge part of him. Not just in his music, but you can tell cars are a major part of his life.

All I need is a KRIT, Curren$y, Stalley, and Dom Kennedy collab over a KRIT beat talkin' bout whips son. Just give me one track bruh.

Ya'll spend too much time worried about titles and ranking amongst artists. All I care about is if he's putting out timeless music. I couldn't give 2 damns and a **** about where he ranks in some imaginary list of greatest rappers. I just want that boy to succeed and to keep pumping out good music.

^All that there.

It's like arguging over who the baddest broad is, completely subjective, there's never a "right" answer.

Just acknowledge the fact he's a great artist n keep it movin.
