this looks like a pair that ive seen on iss before. is it the size 11?
i believe it's a fake
although it does not have the elite series insole.....im pretty sure it was just swapped out.
the clear "tape" should NOT cover the NIKE words
translucent sole is not obvious
pronounced ankle curve is lacking
kb24 and the 2 diamonds should be very easy to spot on these shoes. in this pictures, it clearly shows otherwise.
i have a pair of mambacurials if that adds reassurance to you.

Ask him for pics of the front of the box. Shape looks to be good, and I think i can make out the kb 24 on one pic.

i concur. these are legit. kb24 is visible and ghost swoosh is visible (maybe because i know where it is that my brain outlines where it should be rather than actually seeing it lol)
as a rule of thumb...look for these things in any kobe 8
kb24 and the 2 diamonds underneath it
ankle curve
placement of nikeswoosh
clear tape that wraps around the midsole? not familiar with shoe placement terms
texture of engineered mesh (EG)
as for the mambacurials...
in addition to what i listed..
look for the translucent sole
look for the "ghost swoosh" (it gives the impression that nike premade the swoosh on the EG and just put the check elsewhere)
make sure it does not have the nike elite series insole.
