I think that you, as well as many others, are getting your hopes up too high.

Titanfall looks alright, but you're probably thinking it's going to be a game changer like how Grand Theft Auto 3 was on PS2, Halo 1 & 2 on Xbox, and COD on X360.

I don't think this game is going to have longevity like that for some reason.

It looks decent don't get me wrong and I plan to purchase a XB1 off the strength of it, but COD is going to run things like it did last gen.

COD is just way to easy to pick up and play and get into and it's so popular most get it every year or continue to play the previous versions.

Titanfall will not kill off COD like many people think it will.

I think Titanfall will come and go just like Grand Theft Auto 5 did... was hyped as hell, but after most beat it and played multiplayer for a while they put it down.

I'm gonna have to mostly agree.

I'm baffled by EA's decision to make Titanfall exclusive to Xbox consoles, especially if it ends up just being the first first game. You have the guys that made COD- the biggest franchise of last gen- and you sign an exclusivity deal which in effect halves your potential sales, probably more since you're exclusive to the #2 selling, more expensive, next gen system. In a year where Activision / Bungie are set to release their potential blockbuster series, on all consoles. Incredibly shortsighted move by EA imo.

And it's not even a cross-gen game. It's coming to 360. How much better will this game be on Xbone? Good enough to spend $500 on a new system for? Idk...

About it being the #2 console first person shooters sell the most copies in the US and the xbone has actually outsold the ps4 domestically, probably only due to availability but all the same on release day 3/11 it will be the #1 console in the genres strongest market

I'm not expecting Titanfall to be the greatest game ever. But it does look very fun.

If you enjoy it for it is I think it will be ok. But of ourse it's not even out and it's being compared to COD.

Might hurt the franchise in the long run but trust me, it's not hurting EA's pockets, Microsoft most definitely gave them millions to make it exclusive. Same people that dropped 50 Million for 6 months of GTAIV DLC exclusivity.

There are tons of benefits to this deal for EA. Eliminates all risk, and guarantees the project will be in the black, plus the cash in hand the probably got.

Plus Respawn been homies wit MS since 2003, they are acting like this entire deal is all EA, but they signed off on all this too.

pretty much. EA gets guaranteed money in hand to possibly pad their end of year financial statements, MS will probably take care of the marketing for it and also provide the servers. Plus its releasing on 3 platforms. SO money wise they dont really incur any loss. the only loss is on the people who dont have a 360, xb1 or a capable pc. And they could really care less about how they feel.

I mean...it is the first new game from the team that made CoD what it is today.

The comparisons were inevitable.

Ain't gonna lie the closer it gets the more hype I'm getting for it. I'm 100% sure there is going to be plenty disappointed cause like everything else people are disappointed no matter what  they can release the perfect game and there will be people out there waiting to find something to complain about.

If it's anything like the actual gameplay that I watched looked :pimp: my body is ready

That's why it's shortsighted by EA. You make the money now, and in the meantime PS3/4 (along with 360/Xbone) players buy Destiny (or whatever else comes out) between now and 2015. Then come Titanfall 2 and Destiny 2, along with whatever else will be coming to market. Where do those PS3/4 users go? Titanfall 2? Titanfall is still going to be the game? And if it is the game it will show how dumb EA was to make the first one exclusive.

The next game from the creators of COD- the biggest franchise of last gen. You sign those guys to make the next biggest franchise of the generation. You don't do that by halving your potential sales.

That's why I think MS is so damn lame now. They make a console that is unappealing and then pay EA to not release a game I want on the system I own. Gee, that's fun. I mean, heck, you could use that money to fund a game but no spend it on making another game unavailable to other systems.

I like what that guy said about call of duty killer.. then said actually cod was the cod killer

 it's true.

I still play it tho

@ me

how is it unappealing when it has a game that you seemingly want to play. And Titanfall is not really competing against Destiny or COD to be honest. the game has 6-9 months to grow unhindered. If anything, Destiny, COD, Battlefield and Halo will take each others sales.

Dont act like you didnt know Titanfall wasnt going to be exclusive on the xbox. That always gets me. Like why buy a system that doesnt have the games that I wanna play and then complain about not having those games.

Titalfall looks awesome.

It's like a cod where you're allowed to glitch all over the map.

I haven't regularly posted in here for a while, but it's good to see that the same characters are still entrenched in the anti-Microsoft crusade. :smh:

I'm sorry nothing is EVER killing cod.....
Nope old age will kill COD, same way WW2 shooters went out of style, I think this gen will move on from modern warfare shooters to something else, Cod is gonna die a slow death but death is inevitable
