NFL Week 1 In Review...

stalled in the 2nd without question
Maybe its just me but it looked like a team playing not to lose in the second half.... as if he called off the dogs. no pun intended.

agreed...but you can't tell me in that 4th quarter that they didn't need to turn it on. that's not chip's style to just protect a dwindling lead (chester, correct me if i'm wrong).

getting gassed might explain it. but my point was mainly that as fast as the eagles came out, they were just as "meh" on the way out.

I'm sure it'll take a bit of time getting used to all those plays with game speed. Like it was said in this thread... practice speed def isn't game speed.

i had people messaging me

"sorry i didnt believe u" after the 1st Q

i knew chip's O would wk but they need to perfect it & get conditioned better 53 plays in a 1/2 i cool but not if you run under 1/2 that in the next 1/2 gotta get some balance

Shady was gassed & shouldve got 2 bucks on them

If only I could go back in time and quote all you bums who said Vick would never amount to anything after he gets out of prison... smh Bandwagon NT

Second half playcalling for Philly wasn't nearly as aggressive as it shoulda been, Chip REALLY took his foot off the gas and it showed. McCoy looked SPENT, idk why he didn't give Chris Polk some carries just to take the load off. But regardless, it's a work in progress, we won and that's all that matters in the end

I'm more impressed by the defense than the offense to be honest, they hit RG3 plenty of times and we had no kinds pressure like that last season. Playing that soft coverage for the whole 4th quarter played some part in that comeback, we were trying to kill clock it was obvious :smh:

I still can't believe that the ref thought THIS play warranted us losing the game with 7 seconds left. Any of you fans of other teams would still be flipping **** right about now.

Imagine if the Cowboys or a bigger market team lost like this? ESPN wouldn't stop debating it for a damn month.

he shouldnt have touched him point blank ... 7 seconds left or 15 minutes a foul is a foul is a foul

move on

not enough multi quotes on huddler for that

Personally that is a penalty and they got what they deserved.

Packers got what they deserved as well right rule or not.

- I didn't expect Philly's offense to look that good already. If that defense can get it together they might be dangerous and of course if Mike can stay healthy.

- I knew RG3 was gonna be rusty, he shoulda got some snaps in the pre season to work that off but they got Shanahan coaching scared.

Bucs definitely got what they deserved, just off the strength of even being in a game that close with a team full of complete bums and a back-up rookie QB.

I'm aware it's week 1, but what's wrong with these dudes, post-gruden The Bucs always seem like they're on the cusp with real talent and it just never amounts to a damn thing.

quit making excuses. it was a stupid penalty to commit. if he just lets him run out of bounds, you probably win that game. why don't you worry about how your team looked incompetent for the other 59:53 in the game.

how does it not. He is two steps out of bounds and gets shoved, forcing him to fall. thats pretty dangerous considering all the crap thats on the sidelines

It was a dumb push but I just don't personally think it was enough for a ref to cost a team a game over.

I will admit that our offense looked completely out of sync for a major portion of the game just how they looked in preseason and why I predicted before this game that we would lose.

The Jets are not "a team full of bums" like most people think. There is actually legitimate talent still on that team, and Geno is not that terrible of a quarterback. He kept a lot of plays alive that would have been easy sacks if it was most other quarterbacks.

I love how people are like" Geno isn't that terrible," like there was a large display of evidence in his NFL career prior to make that assertion, ridiculous. I've never seen just a hardline opinion on a guy before his first NFL game.

And it absolutely should have been a penalty, you do notice not a single person has agreed with you in here? You're team is awful and headed for 4th place and a complete blowup #JustFacts

at some point you can't blame the refs for your player committing a penalty.

UNNECESSARY ROUGHNESS
Article 8 There shall be no unnecessary roughness. This shall include, but will not be limited to:
(b) contacting a runner out of bounds;
Note: Defensive players must make an effort to avoid contact. Players on defense are responsible for knowing when a runner has crossed the boundary line, except in doubtful cases where he might step on a boundary line and continue parallel with it

player shouldve known better . the same argument can be made AGAINST the player -- how in that spot are you dumb enough to shove him when hes clearly going out of bounds ? why even chance it given how strict the refs have become with unnecessary roughness ?
