Lebron & Melo will not play together...ever.

And if it were to occur, both guys would be looked down upon.

Thats like Magic Johnson and Bird wanting to play together.

No.

no. Different era's. Starts today grow up in the AAU system of super teams.

SAS is the most powerful and influential basketball reporter in the world. Deal with it.

Dude isn't wrong often when it comes down to predicting where players will end up. His sources are long. Even if he is a loud mouth ****.

Yea SAS has pretty good sources. Even though he's annoying, he's mostly right.

As for Lebron? Doubt it happens. If he ever leaves Miami its probably to go back home.

The real question is how would Melo be treated if he took his talents to South Beach?
The hate for LBJ subsided a bit. Would it start back up?

This is true. SAS may be annoying most of time and his rants are certainly not warranted, but he knows his stuff when it comes to basketball. He's arguably the most influential reporter covering the NBA and what he reports is mostly reliable.

If memory serves me correctly, wasn't he the one that predicted the Big 3 to go to Miami weeks before Lebron made his decision? It wouldn't shock me one bit if Lebron and Melo end up playing together at some point in their career, whether it be in Miami or in New York.

I thought he said chicago last time? Or am i thinking of CB? anyway. who got the hook up on the jorand XI's?

If Melo goes to MIA he will be DESTROYED by the media... If Lebron comes to NYC the hate won't be strong on Melo, but Lebron will probably get death threats considering they would SURELY bringing in another star player with them.

Felton will still be here so he isn't bringing anyone else.

The hype would be unreal in NY

Chris Broussard was the one who said Lebron would be going to Chicago. Actually, I remember the night vividly when he made those statements on ESPN SportsCenter RIGHT after Lebron and the Cavs lost to Boston. LeBron was walking into the tunnel going into the locker room and camera got a great shot of him taking off his jersey.

I forget who the SC anchor was at the time that was discussing where LeBron could end up, but Chris Broussard clearly and vehemently kept saying Lebron would go to Chicago. Now looking back at it--CB never had any credible sources that alluded Lebron would go to Chicago. CB was just speculating that's where Lebron was most interested in going, because of the strong supporting cast Chicago had at the time.

It wasn't until AFTER the NBA Finals where SAS went on ESPN NY and wrote an article stating Lebron might go to Miami to join Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade. I remember the NBA thread touching on that report briefly and many people shrugged the report because of how far-fetched the deal seemed at the time--this was before Michael Beasly was moved the Heat made all that cap space available.

SAS said LeBron would join Wade & Bosh in Miami weeks before the decision - everyone called him crazy and a troll then ESPN came running back to hire him.

SAS said Doc Rivers would somehow & someway end up being the Clippers coach - everyone called him crazy again.

Many call him crazy and a troll for calling out the Knicks faults during the season - he's usually making a good point if you can get past the yelling

Dude has been called crazy numerous times for bringing up scenarios or leaking info way ahead of time - he sort of has a reason to be arrogant. He's right most of the time. I rather have no other sportswriter covering our Knicks because he's a powerful dude and his words hold weight. He's not scared to attack the Knicks front office or ownership to the world. franky Ice would be the closest one but he's not a national powerhouse like SAS.

really random but why would anthony and lebron opt in as opposed to opting out and signing for 1 year plus 1 player option, in case they get injured for insurance. they're good enough that they can easily leverage that kind of a deal.

Fish said the most amazing thing our new coach could ever say "it's not the only way to win games". Like he'll be a sensible, flexible coach that makes the right adjustment to win and isn't married to a system. Talk a good game, let's see it.

Son, there's no way LeBron is coming here. Not happening. Too happy living the life in Miami.

This team will be over .500 next year.

Carmelo will be back.
A friend of mine sent it to me. He mentioned a scenario where we acquire LeBron, Pau and Marc and keep Melo.

Very true. SAS was dead on. Not sure about this now, just have to wait and see.

If Lebron comes to the Knicks count me out. Im sorry there are few things in this world that I want more than to watch the Knicks win a championship but not at that cost.

I could take no pleasure rooting for Lebron James. He has already spurned us for the Heat, and let it be known that he doesnt care about being a Knick in the past, I would rather have a harder route winning a championship than being Lebron's sloppy second.

When it comes to winning, Im like one of those broke dudes who is still too proud to take hand outs or sell out to make money. Yes, I want to win a championship, but having Lebron come here would just feel like a hand out to me. It just wouldnt be the same.

I'm glad you said it before I did. I thought I was the only one who didn't want him in NY. It's like getting that hot girl after your co-worker has been smashing her for years. It just isn't the same man.

Pretty much everything GR8 said, I just didnt wanna type that out

Getting Lebron would be like using a damn cheat code, rather beat the game as is, as hard as it may be.

So now y'all don't want Lebron to come to the team? FOH. He's the best player in the NBA and "pride" would stop you from rooting for him? In the grand scheme of things, he's done NOTHING wrong off the court. NOTHING! He can't win either way. I'm not a Lebron stan, but I look at it logically. People would respect him and the fact that he stayed in Cleveland out of loyalty, but won nothing most likely. Even when the franchise clearly wouldn't be loyal enough to surround him with talent. Now that he chose to change his legacy by leaving and putting himself in position to be mentioned in one of the GOAT conversations, you can't root for him? What part of the game is that. Part of the reason why he can do that is that the landscape and CBA has changed from 20 years ago. Gotta be real about it. I guess some people would respect Melo's struggle to win a ring and not get one here more than Lebron winning multiple titles where he chose to go.

Feel the same way. Would have been fine and glorious if he came in 2010 but I don't want him next year. That's over with and I'm over it. LeBron would become an even bigger ring "whurr" than he already is that'd I'd fall back and say to myself "this isn't about skipping to other teams like AAU basketball, you're messing with fans and loyalty" I wouldn't even take him or the NBA for that matter seriously anymore.
