2014 NFL Draft Thread

I love Garoppolo; I mentioned a while ago to watch him

Carr, Bortles and Garoppolo are my top 3 in no order

I just don't see Manziel making it and I loved him in college

Talking to someone I trust today concerning No. 1 overall pick. GM wants Bridgewater, HC wants Clowney, Owner wants Manziel. I'm not helping

Tweet from a Houston reporter

I have no idea what the credibility of that tweet is (reddit) but it's a funny scenario to imagine

Re: bridgewater's draft stock suddenly plummeting

To what Buc Em alluded to, I've been hearing the same. His workouts for individual teams haven't been great.

It just doesn't make sense to me. Not at all. You flip on some game tape and see an uber-efficient, techinally sound quarterback who we've been told has all the intangibles as far as the mental aspect. It's just really strange to me that his workouts are like this.

I certainly understand the idea of a gamer, but that's much more pertinent in HS and then college, but in the NFL....I mean, you should be able to look pretty damn good in passing drills. One bad day, I can see, but these consistenly unNFL-like workouts are kind of unacceptable.

it's the kiss of death when you don't look at least average in your individual work outs

I'm trying not to go against my instincts here, but when it comes to the Vikings, I'm pretty much set on wanting them to go defense first and A.J. or Mettenberger later, regardless if Teddy is there at 8 (he probably will be now).

There's talk (possible smokescreen too) that the Lions want to move up to possibly grab Sammy, so I'm wondering if they that two spots down from where the Vikings are, would be enough for Minnesota to trade with them. Assuming that Mack is gone at 8 the Vikings will probably look at Mosley, but I wonder if the Lions give the Vikes the draft pick they want even though they're only moving up a few spots.

I would def go defense 1st if I am the Vikings

I think Garoppolo is gonna be a stud if he is there in the 2nd but I have a feeling he goes in the 1st

Teddy might even slip to the 2nd round IMO

So team specific scouts are maybe putting out bad information to the media so a player can possibly drop to them instead of having to trade for that player? Yea color me not shocked.

Jennings still the goods. Vikings have made out by snagging future HOF'ers who slip for one reason or the other. Moss and Peterson.

Every team could use a talent like Sammy, really.

Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see.

No, not all three of those guys will get picked ahead of him.

Carr and Garroppolo probably will. Mettenberger I just think is a sleeper that could sneak in there right before Bridgewater if a team falls in love with him at the beginning of the second.

I don't trust any information coming out right now. Not one bit of it. I'll just patiently wait for the draft. I've watched to much house of cards to know how stories get manipulated and leaked into media.

Remember what they were saying about Ryan Nassib this time last year?

They know nothing

Bridgewater apparently struggling hard in private workouts. I remember early during this past college football season if you had anything to say that was close to Teddy slander people wanted you banned

People were coming at me hard just because I said I didn't see anything that special in him to warrant him being the #1 pick. Where those people at now?

Great for Texans..... Keep Sliding so we can run to the podium top of the second round!!! I want a cerebral QB like him...

according to "sources"

Tom Savage really is the hottest name in the draft as far as stock rising

Dude has an absolute cannon for an arm.

Savage and Sanu should have been CFB's version of Montana/Rice.

jk....kinda...
