Song straight, I prefer Future - How It Was doe.
But.. If Short wasn't a real pimp, wouldn't that mean he was doing the same thing?
I don't get your logic.
It ain't like the dude talking about slangin' dope or being in a gang. He's talking about being a pimp. Was Pimp C a real pimp? Is Snoop? No. But they give/gave off that persona. This dude's music is just vibe music. He's talking about something he's inspird by and he even says "I'm not a pimp, but I'm a player". Dude loves ***** and raps about it.
Like Curren$y or any other rapper who has lines from the movie "The Mack" on their mix tapes. ITs good vibe music, and I'd rather hear that, then a lot of other stuff. This kind of stuff is smooth to drive to. Not to be taken seriously. Its just music...
This dude doesn't need a cosign. He's his own man. I respect dudes who don't need cosigns.

But how did Too Short get his start? He was sponsored by the streets because he used to get paid to rap about local street dudes. Short earned his right to talk about the game because he was making music for dudes in the game, THEN he branched off and became a national sensation.
Pimp C is from the game. Don't get it twisted. Chad Butler (R.I.P) was a real dude. If you know anything about him and listen to his music, not just the singles and videos, but his entire discography, Pimp was certified. Not only that, do you think that ANY other rapper could've done that interview where he ******* on Atlanta, Russell Simmons, Young Jeezy, etc. without some people coming for his head? Pimp wasn't a ******g lame talking about being a gangster rapper, that dude was a GANGSTER rapper.
Snoop dropped that whole pimp persona when dudes started calling him out. Point blank. Street dudes put a foot in his *** because he was claiming the game and never had a part in it. Snoop was doing to pimping, what Lil' Wayne was doing to banging. He turned into a pimp late in life and he got checked for that ****. If you're looking hard enough you can find interviews where Snoop talks about "trying it out" (referring to pimping) in his raps because he grew up idolizing pimps, but it wasn't really him. And I didn't mention Snoop for a reason.
You respect dudes who don't need cosigns? Like who? Curren$y didn't make his way into the game without help. And I **** with Spitta, but dude had two of New Orleans', no my bad two of HIP HOP's biggest labels bring him into the game. No Limit and Ca$h Money. He was signed to both labels my dude. You think if he wasn't a member of the 504 Boyz and Lil' Waynes Squad that he would be where he is today? Really? No cosign? Boy stop.
I'm not claiming to be the expert on street science homie, but if you don't have respect on them, you ain't ****. And respect comes from bigger dudes, OG's, recognizing you and handing you the torch. Either that or you make them bow down and you take that ****. Kendrick got handed the torch from Snoop. Snoop got handed the torch from Dre. And if we really wanna analyze the hip hop and what dudes are allowed to make certain moves and still be good on the streets, then torches are either handed or taken in all regions. Clowns don't last long repping something they're not unless they're paying for protection and that's ho3 ****.
Not dissing dude at all. His music is kinda dope, but I can't stand when dudes make a mockery out of some real **** and present it in a cartoony way like it's authentic. Playing a character ain't where it's at. I mean, if you're gonna represent the game, at least be affiliated and stamped by dudes living it for real.
I hear your opinion, I just don't feel what you're saying.
This cat got the same voice as Uncle Pimp. R.I.P.... I dunno if he'll catch buzz, he's whatever. I like that he admitted he was never a pimp. Just influenced by the music, stories and what have you.
Dudes is reading too far into this.. Homie was influenced by the game he never said he was apart of it.. He clearly said in the interview he wasn't a pimp but he is a player.. I don't remember him even saying in a song about having broads on the track either so I don't get why dudes is all butthurt.. Let lil homie cook
Are you going to have the same character/persona?
No, it’ll be different. With Ice Cold Perm, it’s all in the name. Ice. Cold. Perm. It’s just cold. It’s mack ****.

Butthurt? ***** take the **** out of your ******g mouth. You're the one with sore jaws around this piece.
You should really listen to the mixtape more before you judge his "authenticity"But how did Too Short get his start?
