NFL Week 5 In Review...

So if Lebron, Kobe or Durante put up big games consistently but missed free throws at the end of games or dribbled the ball off their foot consistently we would call them chokers.

Why can't we do this with Romo?

You're really comparing a QB with 1 playoff victory in his career to LeBron James and Kobe Bryant...who are both Two Time winners of the Finals MVP Award and have more post-season success in their sport than anyone currently playing in the world?

That's the point

So you'd throw it to a player who has a Player trailing, a defender infront of him and a defender over the top of him rather than a player who's wide open.

Got it.

It's the NFL, dudes make plays all day, like we saw last night, hell we saw Cush do the same thing week one.

I'm taking someone wide open over someone who has a player close to him not to mention 2 other players barring down.

- LB stumbles into coverage leaving a gap and a step ahead for Escobar.
- The CB on the far end started following Witten to help the safety double cover him. Once Romo tossed it, he moved to Escobar, yes. But he was going for the pick as well. He's not hitting Escobar if he catches it.
- Another safety in wait who again has not slowed anyone down without help and had been consistently missing reads and coverages the entire day.

You keep repeating the same garbage over and over about a triple team when I've proven in each post that it wasn't.

Again, you counting on Demarco Murray to make some big play with Mike Adams waiting for him is coming out of no where.

Don't tell me I made valid points two pages ago and then come back when I'm making the same goddamn points. Don't be an *** hole about it just because another few people come out agreeing with your stance.

A LB makes a diving top WR play and people act like this kind of INT happens every day or that I'm crazy defending the pass

My fault I totally misread it. I thought you said you "wouldn't" call them chokers, insinuating that Romo shouldn't be either

My bad.

Cam is making the best of an AWFUL situation.

FO isn't doing him any favors. Not sure what the details of his contract are, but would anyone be surprised if he's the first big-name guy under this new CBA to bolt in FA when he gets a chance?

I swear I will be done with that organization if this happen. He's the biggest face this franchise has ever had and if they let him walk I'm done. Kid has no help. None.

Can't take dudes serious who talk down on Cam. Bc it's clear they don't watch the game.

The pick to PP was on cam. But the one to Washington was a great play on his part. Outside of Olsen, Smitty and DWill. Cam is by himself out there.

So, the Browns are offering Josh Gordon for nothing more than a 2nd?

Should be 31 phones ringing in Cleveland's office, serious.

The way the slot pay is in the draft now arent draft picks worth more than ever? I don't think i would just throw a 2nd at cleveland that quickly. Not everyone is Indy.

Yeah I don't know about every team wanting to take that deal. 2nd round picks are extremely valuable these days, especially to teams that have scouting down to a science.

There are maybe 4-5 teams who should be seriously looking into that.

The Indy deal is looking real bad, and it'd be even worse if Bradshaw hadn't gone down because he was clearly running better than Richardson.

I understand that 2nd round picks are valuable these days, but Josh Gordon is a 1st round talent.

If you just mentor the kid with the right leaders and make sure he behaves, a 2nd round pick for him would be an absolute steal. STEAL.

It really depends on the team.  A wide receiver is also not the most valuable position on the field, and trading draft picks for WR has proven to be a mistake time and time again.

Do the 9ers, for example, who need to draft a new CB and replace Justin Smith in the near future, who have confidence in their scouting depts., really want to spend a 2nd on even a good WR?  I'm not so sure.

Kane & Taker play for the Chargers now.

No one is being an *******.

I don't care who agrees with me or who doesn't.

It's my opinion, like I said earlier, you make valid points, great, and well have to agree to disagree because it's our opinions.

Your making valid points, but guess what?

It's your opinion and also guess what? He threw a pick.

He throws it to wide open Murray, pass hits the ground and they still have possession.

Come on dude.

I feel one way, you feel another. That's it.

Then I'll just agree to disagree then man. I don't wanna keep going back and forth about it. I'll admit my bias may not be letting be see the whole scope but I think I'm correct here. But I can see your point.

Like I said before, I'm eating humble pie tonight. I thought the Falcons would beat us up tonight. Just didn't think we matched up offensively, and that Gonzalez would be a real pain in the *** to deal with all night. While he did have his share of catches, we didn't let him score. Didn't let Julio either.

-Geno with a great bounce back game. Looked damn smooth that game-winning drive. Also, that TD to Winslow was perfectly placed. I wanna see him play just as well, and then some, against the Steelers on Sunday.
-My assessment of the Jets D: They have an identity for quarters 1-3, but need to better themselves in the 4th too. I love our D a whole lot, just saying they can truly remain atop the league when they close out games without stress. Apparently we are ranked #1 as of now in fewest yards allowed through 5 games, includes teams who have had their BYE already. Still room for improvement, but already have a solid foundation.
-Mo Wilk is the truth and Nick is the Folking man :pimp:

Great team win tonight. Steelers come to us on Sunday. Won't be easy, but they are vulnerable and we need to score early on them and often.

Post your observations from Week 5...

-500+ yards and 48 points and only Romo will be blamed for yesterday's L.

-The amount of Giants fans who have totally given up on their team and now only post exclusively about the Knicks is pathetic. Fairweather fans on here. Just like in the real world.

-Beating the Patriots and only holding Brady to six points is a signature win. Home or away.

-Rivers wins AFC player of the week and turns right around and does that.

-The NFC South will be wrapped up by Week 12.

-Dolphins just ain't there yet.

-Can't spell Stafford without Calvin.

-KC just keeps winning.

-Plenty of people were saying Luck was the best from last year's class but most of you all were blinded by the that gimmick read-option.

Top 5
Broncos
Saints
Colts
Seahawks
Patriots

Cowboys will never win anything of significance with Romo at QB.....I'll drain my bank accounts on that.

Dallas is who we thought they were.

For a guy on his 2nd strike with the drug program no one wants to take that risk.

Damn that Schaub gif just made me feel bad, son looked on the verge of tears :smh:

Edit: even his wikipedia has his name listed as Pick Six Man
